As mentioned in another post, I have been busy running here and there for about ten days.  I went for the blood work, then a few days later saw my doctor for the annual physical.  My blood pressure and blood sugar were not great so I have to try harder to do something about that.
I told the Dr that my hernia was getting more and more painful when walking and that a phycial therapist in OH told my friend Stella that PT could help me.  So she gave me an Rx to see one.  I have been there twice now and am doing some hip and back strengthening exercises that I think will help.  I also have an appointment next week with an orthotist and brace maker who thinks they can design something that will help me more than these binders which do no more than hold me more taut. That would be so wonderful.
I had my mimmagram and got the letter yesterday saying all looked fine.  I had a sonogram of my abdomen to see what could be seen.  The tech spent an awful long time in one area and being paranoid like we get, I asked her what she was looking at.  She said my liver, so I was a little concerned.  I asked her if she found my gallstone which I have known was there since 99.  She said not yet, then when she found it, she told me how big it was, etc. Well to make a long story a little shorter, the gallstone was the main subject on the report.  Evidently no liver problem.  My dr feels as I do that since I have had so much abdominal surgery unless that sucker causes problems we are going to let it be.
So at 9 1/2 years and counting the cancer is not a problem, but old age is creeping up and the usual health concerns are, too.  LOL
Big hugs to all,

MK: Congrats on good news in all areas! 9 1/2 years!!!!! WhooHoooooooo!!!!

I hope that the PT works and can give you some relief. I also hope that they can make a brace for you. That will provide so much help. Keeping my fingers crossed and prayers going.

Now, you had better watch that BP and sugar level. Can't have that causing problems.

Old age....heck, it sure beats the alternative!

Congratulations! Now for the fun know...where I get to tease you about that time out ball. Please make my day and tell me they stuck you on it also. My PT only knew how to say " up straight". I am sure you have some idea as to my reply. tee hee. May I make a suggestion? While on the time out ball, keep repeating I am a bad bad girl. After while they laugh so hard they get you off to shut you up. tee hee Glad your check up went well. Nice to complain about getting old isn't it. But I have to tell you, the person that named them the Golden Years is nuts. Hugs Joyce

Good going, MK. Glad to know that there are no cancer problems. As for old age complaints, well, what are you going to do?? Cope the best you can. Hugs from Minnesota, Lauri
