I was at Passover, and my brother and cousin's husband were each next to me at the table after dinner and we were pishing and I mentioned that I had been told by my onc that I didn't have to go back for six months, which is a good thing, since it was always three months until now.  I was happy about this, of course.

Then my cousin's husband said "Yeah, but you should probably go back in three months anyway.  I knew a friend who waited the six months and they found something and he might not have the "problems" he's having now if he had gone back in the three months."

Wierd reaction in me with that.  Here were the two eldest males in my family being protective, a feeling I never knew I longed for since my dad passed away, so that felt good.  Then there's the cancer fear resurected that comes so easily.....

Anyway, I'm going to see him sooner.

Got this thing on my back.  Got it checked on Apr. 14th, and am waiting for results of biopsy.  Anyway, I picked at it, figuring the scab from the slicing would come off and would (eventually) heal.  Well, it made it worse and now I'm in real discomfort.  I'm a real idiot sometimes.

Other than that, things are the same.  no house yet, but we made an offer, yadda yadda yadda.

Already invited two friends for thanksgiving in this house I'm supposedly getting.  think that's too soon?

Ellen, I hope the offer goes through on this house. Moving is one of the most stressful things we go through. So having said that, everything probably has an enhanced reaction. Going to the doctor sooner than his/her recommendation is OK if it calms your fears. I know it was very hard for me too when the doctors either released me from their care or didn't need to see me as often. Thankfully that has subsided and I am now in a hurry to make appointments next month for mammo and surgeon visit that will be a month late. Talk about extremes.

Quit picking!!!!! Some of my family pick at everything and sometimes it just makes it worse!! I get so aggravated with them. Not that I am perfect, as I would have pulled the silly drains myself if the doc hadn't agreed to do it a little sooner than appropriate.

I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving company. I have a feeling this house is the one for you.

Hugs,

Candy

I see my Onc every other month. I still go to their office for my Zoladec shot every month. You're like me, I pick at everything too.

Ellen

I will pray for a b-9 result on your biopsy. Iam on a 3 month rotation for my Onc and I won't be seeing the radiologist again, she just referred me back to my Onc dr. She said the first year would be every 3 months I don't know about the 2nd year.

I sure hope that this will be the house for you, it has been a long road for you. Is hubby supportive of this house?

Take care
Bernadette

Ellen!  I can't believe you are planning for Thanksgiving already...I can barely think about next week ;-)

Naw, I think it's OK to plan ahead and I'll keep my fingers crossed about the house. Anything house related is so stressfull....ick! I remember when we were trying to sell our dumpy, little house in Dayton and it was on the market for over a year before we found a buyer. Some co-workers told me to get a statue of some saint and bury it upside down in front of the house to make it sell. Not being of that particular religious persuation, I declined but I DID secretly price statuary when I got panicked one week.. ;-)

Hope all goes swimmingly. And I miss you!

Hugs,

Erin

(PS: Greg is going to work for the railroad again, it looks like. This time working on a railroad bridge)
