Hi Everyone,
Kathy, thank you for e-mailing me. I am recovering from the bilateral mastectomy and it has been 3 weeks. I made the right decision to do this because of the gene testing. They found more cancer but all is well. I started Tamoxifin the other day and HATE it..I feel like I am going through chemo all over again. The recovery is coming along, sometimes painful sometimes just uncomfortable. I'm not sure what I feel mentally as I have been in such a fog the past year. I go to the Gyno this Friday to discuss the next surgery and hopefully can wait a bit.
I hope you are all well.

Glad things are going well for you, but sorry you are reacting to the Tamoxifen. I took it for five years with minimal problems. But, it is different for everyone. Talk to your onc. about it. Lauri

Thanks Lauri. I did speak to him and he said to try and just get through the next week or so. As soon as I have the next surgery they will take me off it anyway and put me on something else. So I will try to deal with it.
