Well "Baby Jordan" is turning 7 this coming Saturday. I can not believe how long we have been together. Of course I also can't believe that there is no fricken cure but I digress. So many people I have met along the way. Stories have been shared and with that laughter and tears. I remember when I was first diagnosed and wondered if I would see Jordan even turn one and now she is 7! and in second grade. She is so beautiful. My little princess.

I missed the first gathering, Annette, but was there in St. Louis that fall. What a time we had. Such wonderful memories. So sad so many are now gone. You must be thrilled to see that little girl of yours growing up. Second grade!! Before you know it she will be in high school and you will be buying prom dresses. How quickly the time passes by. Hugs, Lauri

Annette, I remember when the gathering was and seeing the pictures.  At the time, I was undergoing treatment and Cincy seemed so far away to this rural VA girl.  Who would have believed that we would later hop in the car and travel to Myrtle Beach twice, Louisville, and even Cincinatti to get hugs from breast friends!  Those are some of my most cherished memories.

I'm so glad that so many of us are still together.  I miss the ones who are no longer posting with us and ache for the ones who left us much too early.  It brought a smile when I heard a breast friend's voice on the phone yesterday.

Now as for your dear Jordan, I remember the picture of someone (Annie?) holding your little one.  How wonderful that you are still here as her mom and celebrating each birthday with her.

I'm thinking about the scrapbook pages you showed us in KY of breast friends.  I have a hunch you've been busy making lots of pages for your "little princess."  Give her a hug for me.

Becky

Hi Annette

I sure do remember that first gathering...it has a special place in my heart. It was a tough time for me. I was right in the middle of chemo and felt awful but I had to be there !...It was the most amazing weekend. Anyone who has attended a gathering knows what I am talking about. :-)   :-)

I sure do remember Jordan ! I can still picture her in her high chair at the Chinese restraunt...what a sweetie...She was so good and she had alot of Aunties and grandma's that weekend. My grandson Henry turned 7 on the 3rd....so we had a birthday celebration this past weekend also. :-)

Please give Jordan a hug from me... yeah

Love and Hugs

Cathi

Annette:

I didn't meet you until LV.  But I am very happy that you are celebrating your DD 7th birthday.

The gathering in LV was a very important and loving time for me and all those that were there.  I really hope that we can get another gathering together soon.  I know I really could use those extra special shared hugs.

Blessings,

Candy

Amazing isn't it? My grand daughter who was graduating from high school ( and the reason for my trip to the area) is in her third year of Medical school!!!!! She made a great score on her boards taken in June which will help her in getting a choice of residency. They grow up, Annette. Before you know it, that little princess will be graduating from junior high and then high school. I know how much you appreciate, love and cherish her!!!! Give her a hug from me, too. MK
