Just heard that my friend Louise has joined our band of angels. She passed yesterday after a five-year battle with breast cancer mets. So sad as she was cancer free for 15 years after mastectomy. Her parents died within 10 days of each other a year and a half ago, or so. Such heartache for her husband, children and grandchildren. Sadly, Lauri

I'm sorry to hear this. You would think that someone like our Connie and your friend wouldn't have to worry 15 years out but we all know that isn't reality. She is joining the best Angel Group she could find. I can invision our Joannie meeting her on the white motorcycle and her pink leather jacket with "Hell's Hooterless Angels" on the back, spewing up pink feathers as she revs away with Louise hanging on.

May God comfort all her family and friends. I'm also sending warm hugs to you.

Love, Jo-Ann

The fifteen years out really is scary, isn't it? I have lost friends to cancer at home as well as through our intenet network and seldom does it happen that it turns terminal after so long a time NED. I am sorry for your loss of a good friend, I know it is not an easy time to go through. Prayers for her friends and family, MK

Jo-Ann, I love the image of Joannie cruising around on a motorcycle. Louise will love it. She was always up for a good time. Thanks for making me smile on an otherwise sad day.  Hugs, Lauri

Lauri, I am so sorry to hear this news. Had to smile, though, at JoAnnie in her pink leather jacket. Lauri, I just know that JoAnnie will take good care of your Louise for you. She was a rebel with many causes, but helping out her friends was her most important cause.

My heart goes out to you, Lauri. It is a terrible thing, to lose someone so close to your heart.

Love and hugs...

Wow, I am so sorry to hear about your friend.  My thoughts are with her family.  I guess it's just a reminder that it will never completely be behind us.  It's so unfair!

I am so sorry to hear this has happened. My sympathy to you and your friends family. Again I repeat this is a very mean disease.

How wonderful it would be to see Angels where there are only clouds. How sad it would be to see clouds where there are Angels.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard to imagine after being cancer free for that long and then have a turn for the worse. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
