Well Monday, I go for my bi-lateral Mascetomy.  Hoping I don't have to stay in the hospital too long.  After all the tests, biopsies I am relieved that there is light at the end of the tunnel.  It was almost a no brainer.  After all these years of burying my head in the sand about breast cancer and thinking not me, I am now so shocked at how many women and men who have or had this disease.  I can't believe it.  I was trying to keep it under wraps from my friends, neighbors, co-workers etc.  Now I want to shout it to the roof tops, GET THOSE MAMMOGRAMS!!!!.  Once I get through this I will make sure I do what ever I can to help anyone else who needs to know or needs support.  Again thanks for your support, this forum has been very helpful and supportive.  I hope to do the same in kind.  God Bless you all.

Good luck on Monday.  You will be just fine.  In a way, the surgery IS a relief, because you know for the most part, the cancer is gone.  Then you just deal with the rest.  I agree with you that this disease changed a persons perspective on everything, but particularly anything related to women's health.

Remember, take it easy and pamper yourself until you feel better!  REST, REST, REST!!!

Sending you lots of gentle hugs for Monday. Take Kathy's advise and get lots of rest afterwards.

Keep us posted, we care!

{{{{Patti}}}}}, thinking of you today.

It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth -- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.
