I had my first Dilon scan earlier this year and my insurance paid for it (NYC, Beth Israel). Although, I tested positive for the BRACA2 gene and that may be why all my testing gets approved.
The scan is great - alot like a mammo but in mini form. You sit down and your breasts (one at a time) are sort of squeezed like a mammography.
The great thing about the scan is that it doesn't have x-rays and the results are given to you immediately.
Good luck to you.
