Hi everybody,

I received a call from my internest's nurse today.  She said the doctor saw a leision in my left breast on the mamm films.  She couldn't elaborate on it but did say that I need a thurough u/s asap.  So I am scheaduled for the u/s on Dec. 19.  I knew there was something there.  I've had pain and discharge for a while now.  My nipple is also inverted.  Hopefully this u/s will show some more detail.

I'll keep you posted...

Did you tell your Dr about all of your symptoms? You should make sure that they know about those too. I would ask for a biopsy too. I don't want to scare you but those could be signs of IBC, if you have not told them make sure you do right away.

Keep us posted, we care

Good Evening,

I received a letter from my hospital today.  A doctor in the mammography department reviewed the films and saw what my internist found.  They also recommended an u/s.  So now I have two opinions on the mammogram.  I'm trying not to worry but it's hard not to have this invade my thoughts.  Writing stories helps me to be more focused, so I'll just do that until I hear something.

Until then...

Thank You for listening,

Elizabeth

Understandably you are scared..but calling you in for an ultrasound does not just mean they found something bad....as you said initially, they found something...an ultrasound just gives them a better look and a different kind of look to see what is there and where it is located. The worrying is hard on a body, so do try and stay diverted and distracted. And as Bernadette said, it is a good idea to let the doctors know all of the symptoms...even if it is not related, it is good to make sure they have all the facts.
Hang in there and keep us posted!
