... is a birthday.  Happy Birthday dear friend/sis Becky.  It has been a treat to know you over these 6 years... first meeting in cyberspace and even better when we finally got to meet face to face.

Meeting "breast friends" is special... and those face to face meetings are the best.  Here you have a warm place to come for comfort, information (lots of information), hugs, love or just to hold someone's hand.

So enjoy your birthday hon, and know you are surrounded with love and hugs.

Love muchly,
Libby

Hey Beck,

So sorry I am so late in posting for your most important day. Please know that I wish you the greatest of birthdays. Hope you got to have lots of cake and ice cream.

Did George take you out on your special day? (-;

Hugs and Love,

I am late, too. I am hoping you had a wonderful birthday with lots of special happenings. Wish we all lived close enough to do lunches for birthdays like we used to do at work. That is a little hard to meet from Texas to Virginia, isn't it? Enjoy each day of this new year. Hugs MK

It's never too late to celebrate a birthday!  Thank you all so much.  I am so blessed, and my breast friends are one of life's true blessings.

MK, one of my favorite memories is hearing you and Chuck singing a duet of "Happy Birthday!"  I missed that this year.  While we may not play as many games of Literati, you my dear friend are still the Queen!

Deb, our daughter took Geo and me out for my birthday dinner.  Isn't it grand when your children grow up and actually want to spend time with you?  I know you know what that's like.

Lori, we share such a bond with our freshman class.  I often wonder about the other members.  If any of you are lurking, please pop in and say, "Hey!"  I miss Peggy terribly, but what a gift she was to all of us.  You've had such an eventful year, Lori.  Thank you for sharing your happiness with us.  May you and Leigh share many, many years together. (And Tavish, too!)

Ah, our sister Beverly.  Geo just beams whenever he  sees you.  What a present it would be to myself if we could see you again.  When I read your post about JoAnnie, I thought about that beautiful picture of her and Benito sitting across the table from Geo and me in Cincy.  I am so thankful he is healing.  We won't forget JoAnnie, but it is good to heal.

Libby, you're always in my heart.  I am so thankful that God planned for us to meet and become so close.  We have so much in common that it was meant to be.

I love you all.  We can celebrate every day.  It's one more day that we have survived!

Becky

Happy Birthday, How did I miss this? Geez. I feel awful. Well better late than never. Hope you had a very special birthday and I bet I even know where you went. Yes it really is something when you go out with your children and they want to be there and actually grab the check. It really is a special birthday when they finally get past that not cool to be with parents stage. Hope dessert was really decedent. Happy Birthday, Joyce

Lauri, what a sweet wish.  As time goes on and we're not actively involved in tx, our minds are not so totally involved in thinking about bc.  I guess we never will get away from wondering if/when it will return.  We just focus on going forward with our lives and seeking to do God's will.  I do pray for those still in this fight, especially for one who is dear to my heart.  Anyway, I know you are a happy grandmother.  What a treat it was to see baby Rose in KY, and now she's a big sister!  You are so blessed.

Now, Ms Joyce.  I just shake my head and chuckle at the memory of our first sight of you!  Who would have believed anyone would have the nerve to wear real lemons around her neck in a hotel lobby?!  You have given us many chuckles over the years, and you have also a healthy dose of what I call your "righteous indignation!"  I could just picture you standing guard outside my door at report card time and greeting the teachers who were late turning in grades with a stick!  You'll be happy to know I have a "Joyce, Jr" now who doesn't hesitate to stand up for me.  You are both sweeties.  (and so is Vic)  I made sure to IM you Saturday as a present to me.

My dear Cathleen.  Do you know how much I love the sound of your voice?  That was your present to me on Saturday when I called you.  Maybe the next time we talk, Auti will have something to say!  I'm afraid there was no room for cake and ice cream Sat night, so maybe we can just go out for dessert?

Thank you all for the smiles you've brought to my heart.  Memories are treasures, so we'll just have to keep busy making more of them!

Love,
Becky

Becky, you have no idea how hard I had to work my little brain to figure out how to let people at the airport know, who I was, and that I was there to pick them up, or how BC friends at the hotel would know me. A Lemon necklace works. Plus let me tell you it really works at the airport. People make a wide circle around you when you wear a lemon necklace. It was Easy for Cathi, because Mikki was there and Cathi knew her. For Ellen and a few others we had never seen each other. I have to give MK credit. She actually was willing to go into the airport and be seen with me. What I wish I had was a picture of me running over to your George with the Lemon hanging and grabbing a big in person hug. His face was a picture I will always regret that we did not catch. LOL Hope you made this a birthday month. Love and hugs. Joyce
