I'll be going to Missouri again the end of this week for another wedding...Randy's cousin's daughter.    Grandbaby, grandkitty, and grandpuppies were all here this weekend for Father's Day/Britt's 25th birthday.  Sat out on my back steps and watched fireworks this evening through the trees.  I have no idea what they were for, but it was a nice ending to a nice weekend.

Benito called on Friday.  This past week was four years since we lost JoAnnie, if you can believe that.  She is still such a presence in my heart.  Anyway, he's just moved to Florida for a job, finally.  Mike is staying in the house here.  Benito just isn't ready yet to let go of that place.  He's very glad to be working again, but says it is difficult, after not working for so long, to put in those long hours.

Hope you're enjoying those ball games.  There's just nothing quite like grandkids to keep you going, is there?  Keep in touch, sweet thing.

Love and hugs...

Hey Bevie...

Sounds like you had a wonderful day...!!!...the grandkids are so special. The keep me so busy and keep me in good spirits most of the time. I have so much fun spending time with them ...at their ball games and watching them swim. Today, Nicky my 5 yr old grandson called me to tattle on his Mom. I guess she yelled at him about something and he decided to report it to grandma...LOL...I got such a kick out of that....

Amazing that Joannie has been gone for 4 yrs...What a terrible loss that we lost JoAnnie. I know you miss her so much. Not a day goes by that I dont think of Peggy. Glad Benito is working again...keeping busy might be a good thing for him...how he loved JoAnnie...!!!

It is so nice having the summer off from Chemo. I went to my High School class reunion last night. It was so much fun...so many laughs. I went to a all girls private school, so last night was for only the girls..No husbands or significant others. If I was still doing chemo I am not sure if I could go..I start chemo again in August or September, but I am trying not to think about that right now.

Have a great time at the wedding...

Love and hugs my friend, yeah

Cathi

Dear Cathi...I'm so glad to hear that your summer is going well. My Brianna is 5 now, too, although when you ask her how old she is, she says, "I'm gonna be six!" In such a hurry to grow up! Brittany has one more year of undergrad, and then she wants to go far and away to grad school. That will be so hard! I'm hoping she changes her mind and stays closer to home, but it is such a selfish wish.

Bri likes to tattle on her mother, too. "Dobbe," she says, "look what your daughter, Brittany, did to me." It's never, "my mom" when she tattles. It's "your daughter, Brittany." She informed me this weekend, that, while her mother may be the boss of her, Brittany is my daughter, which makes me the boss of her. So I can just tell her mother that she should let her have cookies, even though her mom had just told her NO. She's got it all figured out. And when I tell her no..."but Dobbe, it's your job to spoil me!" It's hard to hold your ground with a 5-year-old who is smarter than you are! LOL

You take care...and keep in touch! You may have the summer off from chemo, but not from the board. And this and grandbabies may just be the better medicine for you!

Love and hugs...
