I went to the expert in pelvic pain and minimally invasive surgery in NYC. He found my painful area and has a provisional diagnosis. I need MRI's of pelvic and lumbar areas and a colonoscopy (fun fun fun) to be sure. I'm in a little pain from the poke he had to do, but that's unavoidable, and manageable with the pain meds.
Nothing like a provisional diagnosis that sounds complicated to make you feel better! Even ends in "itis"! kinda like the cherry on top! The problem has to do, he thinks, with the loss of estrogen in my body and it's effect on my bladder. He said it's very fixable if that's what it is. I am SO glad I chose to go to NYC to have this evaluated. He wants me to get the MRI in the city at the place that he uses that uses his protocol. My coverage doesn't cover that place. I"m considering self-paying and having my med-flex account cover it. That way I will spend what I allocated on medical expenses and not lose that money. It all would work out.
That decision is next.
