My onc gave me a new pill to help the hot flashes and help me sleep.  It really works.  It's called Neurontin and is usually used for shingles and seizures, but a study showed it works to reduce the flash.  Plus, he switched me from Femara to Arimidex, because I was complaining of the tiredness and aches.  So, I am feeling much better these days.

Hi Kath:

I'm glad they're getting addressed.  Mine have been a little worse lately, but I can't really attribute it to hormones.  I lost a dear dear friend last weekend.  Neurontin is a good drug, I'm told,

I also take arimidex and a cocktail of other drugs to keep me funcitioning at full tilt.  Let me know how it goes with the combo.

Ellen,

Still doing well.  I'm really feeling like my old self again.  I see the onc again on Tuesday so he can see how I'm doing.  I'm also going to a new onc on Wed.(through Kaiser) just so I can get my meds cheaper.  I want to keep my current doctors, because they have been great.  However, my DH has changed jobs and I don't know what type of insurance they will offer once he passes probation.  So, just in case, I'm getting familiar with some Kaiser docs.  It will be interesting to see what the Kaiser onc says.  I got all my med records to give to her.  I hear she's very young, but good.  I'll let you know.
L & H,
Kathy
