Hi All

I don't know if any of you caught my short post about having a spot on my hand, well I saw my onc and she said it looked like basil cell. She does not do the removals at her office so I went to my PC and she took it off. I still don't have the actual path report but it came back positive for basil cell carcinoma. I have to go see a dermatologist that specializes in skin cancer next. She wants me to have a full body scan to make sure I dont have anymore to worry about. I do have to use the topical chemo too but have not started it yet. I have quite a few other spots that worry me too but I will find out more later. Im not worried about it killing me but it tends to come back again and again and becomes disfiguring. So that is my latest update, sorry I don't post as much as I used to but I do read the posts.

My goodness it must be skin cancer month around here. What is going on? At my age I have things sprouting all over my body. The worst are ones that look like warts, no color but itch like crazy as they come out. Any of you have itchy things? Should I be concerned? I was a sun worshipper, too when I was young. Take care, all of you. Bern we are glad to see you come back any time. Hugs MK

OK, I think that's enough for you to have happening to you!  I'm sure you agree.  Even before you and MK posted about your skin cancer scares, I have been thinking about it myself.  I don't have anything specific, but am fair skinned and don't use sun screen.  I walk every day and spend many hours weekly doing yard work.  I wish you both well and keep us posted on your progress.

Oops!  It is Jo-Ann that had the skin cancer scare, not MK.  SORRY!

I too go every once in a while to get checked out.  Basal scared me too, but I was lucky not to have it too disfiguring.  I did the MOSE procedure because it was on my cheek and we were worried about the disfigurment.  I just could worry myself crazy with all the scans and such.  Sometimes I just sit here and get sick all over with the worrying.

Don't knock on Death's Door.  Ring the bell and run.  He hates that.
