I just felt the need to check in with all of my BC friends and see how you are doing?  So many new names on the posts.  Sorry to see you have had to join this wonderful group of ladies, but you have come to the right spot for support and questions to be answered.

Am doing good, in fact at my checkup Nov 1, my Onc dismissed me.  He told me that unless I had problems or questions I could remove him from my list of Dr's.  It is kind of scarey, but on the other hand a good feeling.

Still have so many other things going on which are all being said to be "side effects from chemo and radiation".  I am currently doing PT because the muscles in my body are all so weak.  Part of it I know is from having a desk job for 10 years and the rest of my time is spent driving to and from work and being so tired when I get home all I do is make dinner, clean up, do a couple loads of laundry and go to bed.  That is changing as I am trying to get those muscles back in working order and hopefully it will help lose weight as well.

My heart function has improved greatly this past year, which is what led to the "you need to start working out" from the cardiologist.  I have a few more Dr appts before years end, including a skin biopsy for some lesions - always something to worry about isn't it?  Will keep you posted.

Sorry to see of the losses of more BC sisters, and the continued struggle of others.  You are all always in my heart, thoughts and prayers.  With the holidays upon us, my prayer for you all is for continued good health, overcoming all of your struggles, and a blessed holiday season.

Sorry this is long, but wanted to update you all.  Please post so I can see how you are all doing.  I still have the pictures taken in St Louis, as well as my "meet me in St Louis" t-shirt.  Those are some wonderful memories.  Would still like to have another gathering.  I know Laurie W talked of one in Minneapolis, and I was hoping to see that happen.  Maybe in 2008.  Keep me posted.

Take care and Happy Holidays to you all.  I miss you all.

Love, Kitty M

Hi Kitty, It is always good to hear from you. Our internet communications are slowing down, that is for sure. I have been busy the last couple of days setting up a new computer. I went shopping the day after Thanksgiving at Walmart on line and got a really neat, fast computer for a great price. Now I am trying to find all the software or registration numbers of the software to get them on here to use. In searching for the software, through a box of computer desk stuff that has never been emptied since we moved, I ran across the group picture from St. Louis, too. What a great time we had there! And in Louisville it was even better since the accomodations were wonderful, too. LOL! Good memories and sad memories.

I'm glad to hear you are moving on with your health problems. I struggle with diabetes and behaving enough to get good test numbers. I guess we deal with what we have to and try to enjoy life to the fullest.

As I told Angela, quite a few old timers have posted in the past couple of months, but you have to look to find their posts. Quite a few of us are here, just not here as frequently as before.

Talk about dealing with what we have to.  I got my hand slammed between a piano leg and a steel door frame a week ago, right hand where the lymphdema is of course, sos am coping with extra swelling.

Finally went in for x-ray today after an egg shaped lump appeared this morning.  They couldn't see any fractures, but are going to check it in a couple of weeks because I have some tingling in my thumb and index finger.

Was trying to be nice and help move a piano at the church. ya So now I am wearing a compression on my hand that goes up over the top of my compression sleeve, and was told to add the splint I used to wear before having carpal tunnel surgery 6 years ago to keep limited movement to the hand itself while everything heals.  It is sure a pretty greenish purple today.

Glad to hear you got a new 'puter.  I looked at those too, keep hoping mine doesn't just up and die one day.  Have a lot of stuff on the hard drive that I need to get backed up.

Take care, and thanks for responding.  Keep in touch.  Hi to all.

I tell my daughter all the time that she should not do half the things she does, to ask someone else! Now, really, Kitty was there no one else to help move that piano? You know better than to move something like that. Gees--- It is time to let the younger folks do some things. I am getting really good at that.

My computer is great, so fast and this huge screen is great!

Actually there was no one else any younger than me there working that night.  We were setting up for our Annual Christmas Luncheon at church and had to move this old piano that no one uses and they are trying to give away so we had room for tables.  It just happened.  I know I shouldn't have been doing it, but what can I say. ha

Take care, love ya.

Hi, Kitty another one here to say long time no see....... So nice to hear you are able to be a busy bee. I am sorry to hear about your hand. I know it hardly seems fair to get hurt trying to help, and I am so sorry it happened to you. Wishing you a wonderful holiday.

Love and Hugs, Joyce
How wonderful it would be to see Angels where there are only clouds. How sad it would be to see clouds where there are Angels.

Thanks, Joyce,

The hand is much better.  Has a bump on the top, but yesterday the Dr who had x-ray'd it said he thinks it is a "bone Bruise" cause it was not broken.  He did some skin biopsies on my leg yesterday so looked at the hand while I was there.  Swelling is gone down and it works much better than 2 weeks ago.

Now I wait for the skin biopsies to come back.  As my DH says, "it is always something".
