I wish for all of you wonderful ladies a Christmas filled with much love and happiness.  May you be surrounded by family and friends.  This is the time of year to count our blessings, that in spite of everything we've been through, we are still here fighting.  We must also remember those who lost their courageous battles.

I know I don't post much anymore, but you are always in my thoughts.  My New Year resolution is to get back here more often to help the newbies through their difficulties.  That's the least I can do to pay back how you all helped me.

Update on me - I continue to do well.  I had a follow-up CT on my liver, because the last one showed some small lesions.  The latest one showed they were the same and are too small to be of concern.  No signs of cancer activity.  So, I'm extremely grateful.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

AND

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
L & H,
Kathy

Merry Christmas to  you, too, Kathy. Glad you continue to do well. Health is one of the best gifts we can have.

It is snowing here in Minnesota, so we will have a really white Christmas (would have anyway with about 6 inches on the ground). I suspect we will pick up at least six more today at the rate it is falling. Glad I don't have to be out in it. Holiday hugs, Lauri

Thanks for the greetings and update, Kathy! I am so happy to hear you are doing well! I hope you do come back more often after the New Year, some of us oldies are getting slower and slower. I don't know that it is a burn out, but after nearly ten years of posting I find it difficult to be as enthusuastic as I once was. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Lauri it is always good to hear from you. Hope you have a wonderful white Christmas in all that snow. It is beautiful but I sure don't miss trying to get around in it. Today I must get my packages wrapped and finish up last minute stuff. We are going to Carolyn's tomorrow to open packages with all of her family. Her recurrence is looking extremely bad, so we are trying to make this a special Christmas while she still feels well. She wanted us there, because we told her we would do whatever she wanted. We are surprising her with a player piano. She used to have one that she rented and loved it. Erica found a great one for us to buy for her, so we all pitched in and did our part. I hope she is as happy as we think she will be!!!!

Hugs and love to all, MK

MK,

That sounds like it will be a wonderful Christmas for your family.  I certainly hope and pray that Carolyn's recurrence isn't as bad as you fear.  You are all in my thoughts.

I understand about the burn out.  That may be why I don't get on here as much.  But, I have to remember how much it helped me and want to be there for others.
L & H,
Kathy

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate....peaceful and reflective times for us all.

I am looking forward to the week off of work and getting some good catch up sleep, as well as hooking up our new plasma tv, hanging some mirrors in bathroom and the fun task of painting the laundry room. :)

MK, what do you mean about Carolyn's recurrance looking really bad? Are there new results to tests that she got? I am sorry that your news does not sound more hopeful but am thrilled that you'll have some great Christmas memories this week. Please keep us apprised, you're in my thoughts.

Love and holiday hugs-

Lori

The tests show breast cancer cells in her bone marrow. Bev posted to my question about JoAnnie having the same problem with her recurrence. She is meeting with her doctor on the 31st to decide the course of treatment. Right now she is extremely anemic and there are open orders at the hospital for her to go for a transfusion when she feels she needs it. Knowing her, she will put that off as long as she can. I will see her tomorrow and let you all know how she is doing. Over the phone she sounds good and she says she gets tired but that is about all she will say.

Thanks for your concern.

Happy Holidays and lots of love to each of you,
MK

Sorry to hear that MK. I rememer when Joannie told us it was in her marrow too, but I did not realize that was the case for Carolyn, I thought maybe they were looking at something like red blood cells in the marrow. Darn it.

Give her giant hugs and enjoy your family time!

L&H,
Lori
