hi, i am artpainnter44, a female freelance artist with  many physical problems. i live in a simple manner regarding philosophy;the only thing in the world i can control is my own reaction to things that happen.
there is such a freedom in that, it's incredible;i give up wanting to control things & other people(you can't);i am learning to keep my old reactive ego reactions out of the present;it is not easy, it is simple;it takes practice & you will still hurt, cry, etc. but it's a whole different perspectine on life;i think it saved mine. thanks, painter

I agree that it stinks that there really are no good meds for cfs. I just don't think there is a lot of money out there for research for cfs.
Diagnosis:  UCTD (lupus) 2006; Raynauds 2006; Sjogren's 2006; lupus symptoms began 2003; CFS 1991; Mono 1985
Meds:  Plaquenil 400mg; Prednisone 5-10mg; Tramadol 100mg 3-4x daily; Doxepin 25-50mg; Prevacid; Evoxac; Steriod Cream and Mouth Rinse for tongue and mouth ulcers; Hydrocodone 5/500 prn for severe pain; Artificial tears

I live in Colorado and I also deal with CFS. I was just asking my Dr if there was any new meds that they have come out with for CFS. It drives me nuts. I also get so weak I can't walk across the room. It is worse in the summertime.

I too have figured out the only thing I can control is how I react or respond to things. Knowing & understanding that has been the key to my living with these conditions!!
I have always favored a simpler way of life, so I have benefited from this for many years now. It was also one of the hardest things I 've ever done!

Besides - I have a constant source of humor - myself!!!! At least I can all most always laugh at myself!! smhair
