I was just diagnosed with CFIDS and have Fibro amongst other things.  I experience occassional cases of skin pain from my fibro where it just hurts to touch my skin.  I know alcohol intolerance is a symptom of both CFIDS and Fibro - but was wondering what it means for CFIDS?  Starting a few years ago, after having a few drinks, the next morning my skin, mostly from my hips through the top of my neck would be extremely sore - like one big bruise. It doesn't happen everytime - just when I've had more than usual.  For the past 4 months I've only had a total of maybe 3-4 drinks so this hasn't happened...but I'm wondering if that is what is meant by alcohol intolerance, or there are other symptoms?  I know this may be different for everyone and is also indicated as a problem because of medications, but just curious if anyone else feels like this or has other symptoms.

I also noted that a symptom can be intolerance to sun.  I've always burned easily but wear sunscreen and usually feel better after a little time in the sun.  I know tanning beds are noted to be dangerous, but there have also been studies that it releases endorphins to make you feel better.  Is there anyone who knows more about the UV intolerance both by the sun and tanning booths?  I love the beach and just want to be really careful not to flare again like the beginning of this year...I really can't afford it or I think I'll lose my job.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your response!  Sometimes nothing happens, but other times my skin just hurts so badly - but that also happens sometimes when I don't drink at all so maybe it's not related...i don't that much anyways because of my IC and it irritating my ulcer and bladder, but I just wasn't sure if it was common.

I haven't been in the sun since things got bad, but I have felt the headaches and dizziness before, so i'm guessing they may get worse now...guess I'll have to take things slowly!
