I have been generally unwell for 10 years or so after a pretty nasty bite in japan (recently tested negative for Lyme). However, I was functional. I finished a doctoral program and worked a demanding job. Still do.

about 3 months ago, I caught a nasty virus and took antibiotics and a corticol steroid. Since this time, I have gone downhill. I have tinnitus (Which I've always had), but new symptoms such as severe anxiety, fatigue, reduced appetite and tingling/weak legs have started and remained for almost 3 months.

Just wondering if anyone who has CFS experiences similar stuff.

Thanks in advance.

My CFS/FM started after I had a virus, the West Nile. Your symptoms could be one or both of those. Why don't you look up the symptoms, I bet you will notice you have a few more.

Yah, that is how I felt when it started with me. Two good weeks, a couple bad days. It slowly progressed until it became two bad weeks, one so,so day, until I was sick all the time. I really do believe that we can help many of the symptoms with diet. You really have to cut out a lot of things like gluten, sugar, maybe all grains, etc. and really stick with it.

Hope things turn around for you....

When you take antibiotics you wipe out your gut bacteria. You gut bacteria are important for good health. Might consider taking some probiotics to get your good gut bacteria back. As previously mention diet can be helpful with the gut bacteria. Might be helpful to take a probiotic.
