Hi I'm new to the site but just wanted to join so i could share experiences/helpfull hints with others in the same boat.
I have been coping with the illnes(CFS) for four years(i was diagnoised about a 18months ago).It has been a great struggle but i have had great support from friends and family and am slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel...don't get me wrong i don't have a miracle cure but I have been using a system that seems to have made a vast difference.
I think the hardest thing about this illness is the frustration element.I contantly felt i was fighting a battle with an illness that "doesn't exsist".
So if anyone would like to talk things through, discuss things that work/don't work or just need someone to vent some frustation at....i'm here!
Most importantly i would like to send a message to everyone with this illness to stay positive! You WILL get better!

Sarah hi and welcome to hw,

I'm glade that you found us,sorry that you are having problems with fatigue.I must say that we can all relate to the fatigue that we suffer with every day and it can and does take a toll on us.

I still have people tell me that people do not suffer from fatigue and that it is not a disease or and disorder,Yea right.

I went from a healthy 133 pound's and working 60 hours a week to getting sick over night (at least it felt that way)I was loosing weight like crazy and i was down to 102 pounds before we were able to find the cause of the weight loss and the throwing up all the time and the severe diarear (sp.

I was finally told that I have crohns, then the joint pain started told side-effect from crohns but instead of getting better was getting sicker and I was put on predy and I winded up gaing a little over a 100pounds and found out that I as well have ra,oa,as,sejerens as well.

I have day's to where i feel so tired that I just can't get out of bed but I have learned to deal with it and I have learned to listen to my body.i know that I will suffer from fatigue for now on but it's part of life.
