hello, my senior  year in high school I started experiencing severe allergic reactions. I was getting covered in hives.  I had hives nearly everyday for about 5 years.  Doctors could not pinpoint my allergies.  I was on prednizone, and every anthihistime under the sun. It was a very rough time for me.  It was very stressfull for me, I could not date or anything.   I managed to control them enough to complete college and near the end, the hives went away. They have tryed to come back a few times and I have averted them by changing the diet.  I am now 32,  I never had any problems  prior to getting the allergies,  since then I have been suffering from Erectyle disfunction.  I graduated college and have a good job, I am very fit, work out often,   I am still a bit stressed out. So what I am wondering is if some of these drugs affected something the docs have failed to check.  I have been checked out and they say my blood work is normal, maybe they are not checking everything.  Do i have some sort of depression as a result of my experience. I dont feel like killing myself, enjoy getting out, and having fun.  I am an airline pilot for a major us carrier now.  I just recently went to the boston medical group, to cure my ed.  Please help me,  my sex life if it was effected by my severe bout with allergies.  This is the only link missing in my life.  Do others have advice or have a similiar experience I would love to hear.  Thanks

Hi Brian. I wish I could help more with your questions, but I don't know much about allergies. There is an allergy'asthma forum on this HealingWell site and the people there might be better able to tell you if any of the meds might have had an effect on sexual functioning. I hope that you can find a doc who can help you with these things. Take care
