This is the first one that got rid of gallstones that I didn't even know that I had. A lot of gallstones! I will do it again for better results.

It's called CKLS (Colon, Kidney, Liver, Spleen).

You can search CKLS for more info.

Using a cleanse such as this can be dangerous to the health of some of the members here and should not be done without the advice of a physician. Therefore, HW cannot support the posting of such information. Anyone interested in more info regarding this can search outside of HW domain.

HOLY CRAP!

I don't know if I could do that. You're very brave for doing this.

I think it would ruine the taste of olive oil for me too. I put olive oil on my salads, chicken and for cooking.

I'll think about it, but I don't know if I can keep running to the bathroom every day at work.

How did you feel after it?

Thanks Keah. I agree. This is a very extreme cleanse that could not be done by just anyone, and for some would be downright dangerous. Cleanses can be done when one has a certain amount of good health. When the body is already somewhat "frail" then cleanses are better done more gently through a long term dietary change.
Tru, I know you posted this with good intent and glad it has been helpful to you. I hope you continue to share your personal experience with what has been helpful to you in dealing with chronic fatigue. It is not a good idea to post specific directions just as we do not recommend specific medication dosages for other members. Thanks for all your contributions!

Yes...one should always check with their doctor first. This cleanse was not harsh....like others are. It's all natural.

I have adrenal fatique(or one of the many names that is called), abnormal hormone levels and hypothyroidism(tissue resistance to thyroid hormones).

Meds: Armour Thyroid, Wild Yam Progesterone Cream, and lots of supplements in addition to my multi-vitamins.

The fact that I saw things that I had no idea was inside...and no doctor would have found until many years later made me feel better. My fatigue was gone months ago when I started taking supplements that helps the body to get rid of toxins that effects the hormones. Those same 3 that I keep telling you about. These gallstones came from my liver. Liver function is important when it comes to hormones.

Orion...I don't know if I could keep coming here...too many rules. Why leave people in the dark? That's why I hate going to my doctor...because this is what doctors do.

The people that get well think outside of the box...we hear stories all the time. People that stay on lots of meds continue to take more and more and get sicker. I understand that some people are really sick...but shouldn't they at least know.

Doctors keep you sick...from my experience. They kept telling me that nothing was wrong, but since I've been able to take things into my own hands I've been getting better. I've had this for years...it got worst...I got fed up, and now I'm getting better.

Most illnesses have to start from somewhere they never appear out of nowhere.

If one have years of meds and toxins from meds and the enviroment built up in their systems it can't do any good leaving it there. Doctors don't tell you to get it out...they just give you more meds for a new symptoms that developed.

I only had to drink 8oz of the olive oil, because I'm under 130lbs. They give you 30min to an hour to drink it.

It's weird how some think that this is so harsh...when the truth is we are not supposed to eat the bad foods that we eat. That's harsh....and all those meds.

Gallstones forms from having too much cholesterol in our bodies...or too much estrogen...etc. Is one has them it mean that they are not as healthy as they could be. Too much cholesterol in the body causes problems...and too much estrogen in the body causes problems.

In a couple of months I plan to be completely well....all symptoms gone....not sick.

I joined this site in Sept, I started treating myself in Nov., and feel 75% better...and it's only Feb. If I would have listened to my doctors I would still be very sick.

I need to find a site with alternative thinking. That's me...I'm not this.

Tru,

I think it is really great to share so-called "alternative" treatments. As a matter of fact, it is important to do so. I have always been a strong advocate of natural healing, and agree with you that most doctors toe the AMA line and often make people more sick by going further and further away from our body's natural ways of healing itself. For me, going to a regular doctor and eventually trying allopathic medications was really a challenge to my way of thinking about health, and in the end just led me back to herbs and supplements, and renewed my faith in the other therapies I do with my homeopath, chiropractor, osteopath and massage therapist. Homeopathy has been one of the most helpful therapies for me, and while I would encourage everyone to check into homeopathy as a long term, deep acting therapy, I would not suggest a particular remedy for people just because it worked for me. It is very individualized. Cleanses are the same. What is healthy for some is not for another. I think it was great to post your experience with the cleanse and suggest people look into it further. The concern had to do with including the whole recipe, out of its full context, here.

I'm really glad you are finding effective ways of treating your CFS. I'm sorry you were offended and really hope that you continue to share your experiences and particularly your success stories.

In support and friendship,

Allison

I found this recap of what the concern is regarding olive oil cleanses such as this, and thought it might be helpful.

"Individuals having very small stones inside their gallbladder may be able to cleanse them with the liver-gallstone cleanse. It is possible for a small stone to exit the gallbladder via the cystic duct. A larger stone however may then produce obstruction of the cystic duct, or it may get into the common bile duct and produce an obstruction there. It may obstruct the ampulla of Vater and produce pancreatitis. Biliary tract obstruction leads to jaundice with increased total and direct bilirubin in the blood serum.

"Do not do this on your own without first consulting a physician who has the knowledge in alternative and natural healing modalities. Never cleanse when you are ill. Pregnant mothers should consult their physician. The elderly should do this purge only under the recommendation and supervision of a health specialist. This procedure does contradict many modern medical viewpoints since there are many versions of liver/gallbladder flushes floating around. Many of them are too harsh or dangerous for people. These involve consuming an large volumes of olive oil and using epsom salts you mentioned as an intestinal flush. Consumption of this Epsom salt mixture usually results in watery diarrhoea within a half hour. Sure, it will get the intestines moving - but too much and too fast. Despite the seemingly dramatic results, this can actually be a poor intestinal cleanse. Diarrhoea can deplete vital electrolytes, cause extreme fatigue and can be dangerous for those on heart medications and other medications that depend on proper electrolyte balance. It is never necessary to induce diarrhoea in order to cleanse the colon. Many of these flushes rely on the oil to cleanse the liver without using herbs that protect the liver from the very toxic materials that can come out. Try asking for a program allows people to increase the oil content of the flush gradually and can be safely used by those without gallbladders as well as one that contains herbs and vitamins, minerals and electrolytes that specifically protect the liver as well as cleanse it and naturally strengthen its functions. Though the liver cleanse is supposed to reduce the cholesterol, the best, most effective and safe way to reduce your cholesterol would be to follow a long term moderate fat, low saturated fat diet through life."
