Has anyone ever had this kind of test done?

johnny, I'm not familiar with this test. What is it done for and what will it show? Hopefully someone else here will know something about it.
Diagnosis:  UCTD (lupus) 2006; Raynauds 2006; Sjogren's 2006; lupus symptoms began 2003; CFS 1991; Mono 1985
Meds:  Plaquenil 400mg; Prednisone 5-10mg; Tramadol 100mg 3-4x daily; Amitriptyline 25mg; Neurontin 200mg; Prevacid; Steriod Cream and Mouth Rinse for tongue and mouth ulcers; Hydrocodone 5/500 prn for severe pain; Restasis eye drops

What kind of PCR test are you looking into? From the web site, it looks like they may be really expensive due to extreme sensitivity. I know that some people have this test done for Lyme Disease.

PCR Polymerase Chain Reaction, check DNA sensitivities against cartain bacteria, virus and fungus.

It is better than other tests but sometimes the same bacteria have several different strains (differentes DNA)
