Go to the ER.
Stupid doctors.
You need a MRI on that joint asap.

As bad as I hate those places I have to vote for the ER as well.

Sounds as if something has gone very wrong and the sooner you know it the better.

I am so so sorry your having such a time with this and if I may ask with all your DX why the good list in your siggy is the NOT taking list?

Please dont sit on this as I cant see it getting better soon enough to hang onto your sanity from the sound of the amount and types of pain your having and anytime you lose balance or your legs just give out there is something way wrong.

Good luck and try to keep us informed and let us know how your doing.

Oh, how I can relate, Shelter! I've been having a horrible week, after I thought thinigs were stabilizing a bit. And at least partially relating to SI join issues on top of still trying to heal from lumber fusion surgery. By the way, I've been told that SI joints can't be seen on an MRI. Not even sure they can see them clearly on X-ray. I'm lucky enough to have a physical therapist who knows how to determine if they're out of alignment, and he gentley puts them back in place, which he did for me on Wednesday, but overnight all I did was roll over in bed and I could feel them go out again. And you're right - the pain! And mine also have been causing problems on the left side, which was my "good" side (relatively speaking) in addition to the right side. All started last Monday when all I did was turn a little in the shower and felt the muslces on my left side all tighten, and haven't been able to get things settled down since. Took extra percocet yesterday for the first time since my surgery. You're right it is scary. I have an appointment with my neurologist next week, so if things aren't better I will talk to him. I'm just praying it's muscle that will ever so slowly relax. Since I've used up all my PT sessions, my godsend of a physical therapist is seeing me once/week at no charge, but he's only doing limited modalities for about half an hour. If only I could go back to 3X/wk to get this settled down. darned insurance limitations!!!! (sorry for my french, folks, but I know you understand)

Anyway, Shelter, I agree with the ER recommendation if you can't get in to see your doctor soon. My pain isn't yet as bad as yours, as I was able to sleep some loading up with meds. Please let us know how you do!

Oh, Shelter I feel for you. It is so clear in your post that you are overwhelmed by the pain. I hope by the time you read this that you have been to the ER and they were able to help you find relief. I hope you are sleeping peacefully right now!

Shelter - sorry I didn't "recognize' you in the chat or I'd have asked how you were doing. I'm lucky I can remember my own name some days! I certainly hope you're doing at least a bit better today but you sure did have a LONG day! People don't realize what all our appointments and treatments take out of us. It's as demanding as any job, and without any pay!
