Hi again!  Seems i have alot of questions! lol
I have ulcerative colitis (UC). My disease is moderate, and i am currently is a very small flare.
I have seen quite a few people here w/ UC. So, i thought maybe someone knows about possible risks, ect .
Is it possible to absorbe more med than intended? (guess not if im taking perscribed dose), but i assume more likely that i would NOT absorbe the correct amount. I find that i am very deficent in alot of vitimans, due to lack of absorbsion (sp). Because it is a time release med, i wonder if it might go to a dieased part of the gut that won't absorbe or absorbe incorrectly (i worry about overdose?)
Ok, i think im probally just overthinking this, but just wanted to see if anyone knows about this? thanks!

Hi Shannon,

I would guess that the doctors and pharmaceutical companies have worked this out. What I take has to release in the gut, not the stomach so it's in a capsule that will only dissolve in the gut. This is pretty high tech stuff.

Relax and then just ask your doc next time you're in. Or, you can call your pharmacist who may have an answer.
