Hey, D. I hope you are feeling okay. Last time you posted, you were thinking about stopping your pain meds, so I'm a little worried about you! I hope you aren't in too much pain. I hope your doctor is taking better care of you and that you aren't posting because you're too busy out living life and feeling great! :-)

Delilah:

I absolutely LOVE to go antiquing! What a fun thing to share with your fiance. My grandmother and mother both were antique buffs, so I guess I inherited that. :-)

Lexapro is one med I haven't tried yet. (Almost the only one, I think! tongue ) Maybe that's one I should ask my doc about. I've been having a hard time keeping the pain under control lately, too. Thankfully, I have a PCP who is close by and still willing to write for my meds. My PM is out of town, like your doc, and they just wrote a note to my PCP saying it was okay for me to get meds there. I can't imagine having to drive for them every time!

I will be praying that you will hear good news from the PM and that they will improve your pain management a lot!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation. Mine starts next week, so I'll be checking out the antiques in my area too.

Hi D.

Just wanted to join in saying happy to hear you are all right. Glad you are still taking your meds and that you have an upcoming appt with pain management doctor. I think that is going to be the answer for you. I will be praying. Keep us posted because there are obviously a lot of people who care about you.

Love,

Lindaloo

Delilah:

I just wanted to wish you the best tomorrow at your PM appointment. I will be praying that your visit is productive and that the doctor listens well and offers you a more reasonable pain control plan (or better yet - a cure! tongue). Is this doctor closer to home for you? I hope it is a comfortable drive if you have to be in the car very long.

Let us know how it goes.

You know that sounded suspicious to me, too, Gramps. I know if someone wanted to poke more needles into me now that I've had failed surgery I'd say no thanks - not unless I had some life-threatening condition. I'd be afraid where those needles would land with all the hardware I've got in me. It's just my opinion, under, but if it was me I'd want to talk to my ortho or one of the docs I trust before I had more injections.

Are you feeling any better? I'm up late b/c I can't sleep and my pain meds aren't kicking in... Is that your situation tonight too?

I'm sorry to hear that. Bummer that chat won't work. I was excited to see you on at the same time as me! I suppose this is kind of a pseudo-chat, but everyone else will probably look at it and wonder what we were up to! he, he, he...

Something I discovered during my last bed-bound period... A lot of the television shows are online nowadays! When I got home from the hospital, I got online and found a series I hadn't ever watched and started with the very first show and watched each and every episode up to the latest one. Kept me distracted a little bit from the pain and passed the time. You can find most of the major networks and just look for "watch full episodes" or something like that.

What part of the world do you live in? Is the weather nice there?
