eyes
SO WCB, and thir Doctor  basically said IM fine... ( they are not in my body, nor do they live in the pain I do....)
and gave me recomendations to let a pain doc do a 2nd injection ( first one gave me 10 days of terrible pain, and flare up & 5 migrains ensued....) so  I opted out of the 2nd  injection...
I talekd to my own doctor & my reflexologist whom  I highly  HIGHLY...  value her input...
if 10 is best shes 9.9
WCB is...   crusing at 1 maybe
I dont trust them any more,
at first I thought They were  really trying to help me
on my side.. etc..
after figuring out   their recomended pain doc was prob on thier payrolll

I think much less of them
also

they made me change to the physio clinic they recomended..
not the one wehre id been going & had good results

after switching to theirs
i was oput on a 5 day a week apt  thingy
way too much to ahndle with working and having family obligations which come first if & when my kids or hubby are sick...

so I missed some  WCB appointments  with phsyio  lets see 4 maybe

due to my illness or my husbands or kids.. or all of the above
they "MARKED ME as  " let me see NON Compliant"..

LOL
which is   royal  _ _ _ cant say it....
wrong just plain old wrong

any way...
I dealing with lying employers
lying WCB
and  dr's who also are truthful

so.....
any advice as   steam rolls off me... tongiht

I am waiting to  have an MRI requested by my dr's referral doc a nuerosurgeon.. who made it clear to me
he  doesnt like WCB  and wanted me to know he does not work for them

sooo
i figured it out

I called my old phsyio
and saw them
my old massage Therapist...
and my own CHiro  - who told me  I have the RIGH to chosoe who cares for me
and I dont have to take  the advice of WCB

Iam back to work...  all be it... having some pain
but
im not going to play their game any more

NOPE
i wont

advice?? from you all who ahve  fought this good  FIGHT ?

Shelter,
It depends on the rules in your state, as worker's comp is a state program, but you very well may have to see their docs and health care professionals for a period of time. Here in PA, you have to do that for 90 days. And yes, many of the docs work for them or are paid by them for evaluations and such. If you don't follow the rules that alone can be enuogh for them to dismiss the w.c. claim. Do you have an attorney? If not, I think you need to consult one, unless you're prepared to have all the bill rejected by worker's comp, and be sent to you. And your private insurance may not cover if it's a legit worker's comp claim, but you didn't follow the rules. It's lousy, I know. I fought my worker's comp. denial and lost - or rather had to back out because they would have forced a resignation with any settlement, and i couldn't afford to lose the job. HA! Little did I know a few months later I'd be one of the ones laid off anyway.

This isn't a question of regular medical care - like normally you could choose your providers. You need to get your employers handbook and start reading the regulations, and find out about worker's comp in your state. Read all the fine print in all the forms, etc. you get from them. If you miss one deadline, etc., that could be it for your claim. Again, I'd at least consult an attorney so you know your rights - and what things you have to do even if you don't want to.

Good luck!

Shelter - that's why you need to consult a lawyer. There are laws that are different in each state, and each case may be different. I'm not saying I condone the process, believe me! But it is what it is and the main person that can help you sort out your rights, what doctors you need to see, how to document when/why you have to cancel appointments is going to be a lawyer. Hopefully one will take your case for a contingency fee, but also ask about whether they pay the costs even if you lose. My case was lost and I had to pay $200 for a lousy transcript - costs aren't the same as lawyer's fees, and different lawyers may negotiate a different contract with you.

I wish you all the best....

I know the kind of work you do, and it is hard physically and psychologically. Your lawyer may also be able to tell you whether getting treatment for what sounds like some depression will be covered.

I found out too late about my employer's policy that a worker's comp settlement of any amount would also have to include a resignation. It sounds like maybe you don't care if that happens and if you can get a good settlement maybe getting away from that job will be what you need. Don't make any hasty moves without some legal advice.

Hugs,
PaLady

I called a lawyer a week ago- she promised me that she'd call me back asap and or have an associate call me...
no one has called

i will have to try her again
but i work tomorrow 9-8:30

The last few days I KNOW I am battling depression ; I ahve have never had the bad, low deep thgoughts like I ahve this past week...
and i am on the verge of tears almost instantly

and of course it snot easy for me.... to talk about other things... when I cant think of anything to say...
I'm also feeling angry
I caught my employee in a lie...

which tells me lots

I'm sad
but not sorry for the path I have had to go on.... to BRING LIGHT & to bring RIGHTNESS to the work place

thanks PA LAdy... underthe bus maybe we can chat sometime...
