I am wondering what medications doesn't cause sensitivity to heat and sun? I am at my fiance's house for the night due to no AC at my apartment. We lost power around 7:30 pm tonight and we still haven't gotten it back. And we will not get it back tonight because the transformer for my building is completely busted and they have to dig the ground to fix the transformer and whatever else is broken. So, I have been suffering all this evening in the heat. It is night time and the temp is still 85 degrees. It was 100 degrees out today. I was miserable tonight and came to my fiance's for the night, caue I was feeling overheated. I thinik this is also because of the Kadian. I am considering switching meds.

Thanks in advance!
Born with hip dysplasia in left hip, 2 surgeries to fix it when I was a very small toddler.

Also, 2 injured discs in lower back at L3-L4 and at L4-L5.

I also have Fibromyaglia as well.

Meds:
Zyprexa 7.5 mg
Wellbutrin XL 150 mg
Klonopin .50 to 1 mg as needed throughout the day for panic attacks
Norco 10/325 mg as needed for breakthrough pain
Robaxin 750 mg 1-3 tablets a day
Ibuprofen 800 mg as needed
Kadian 50 mg
Halcion .25 mg for sleep
Lyrica 75 mg for Fibromyaglia

If your asking re:which opiates then you might not have much luck as most of them or anything else that laters in anyway the central nervous system is going to have a direct bearing on how well you regulate body temp, also talking about the lyrica, halcion,of which I have not seen used in many of years, and the anti-d's as in the wellbutrin. Sorry that isnt much help or the news you needed to hear but it is an example of how we have to change our lives to the point of misery to achieve any kind of relief sometimes.

As for the direct sunlight warnings and which are better then others your RPH can give some tips concerning that but I get the feeling alot of what your referring to is the sensations of just being or feeling hotter then the other folks in the same room and again this is anything that is going to directly effect the brain and its functioning and that certainly includes the center that regulates body temps and sensation and there isnt much help for that without eliminating all those kinds of meds and that doesnt look as if it is a possibility for you.

Sorry for not being much help here but this is the way I am reading it and what I know. Others may have some more tips or advice that can help you.

Good luck to you.
