I guess I am whining, I am so mad right now, I could bite nails in half. I woke up at 4:30 this morning moaning and in pain, actually woke myself up. Right below the beltline all the way across my low back is one big spasm, along with extra pain & spasm on the right side. This is unusal for me, I always have hurt on the left not the right. So, I am taking my muscle relaxers every 2 hrs and my BT meds. I am finding myself clinching my teeth. I am hunched over, can't stand straight & hanging onto my cane for dear life.

I have not lifted anything, no bending, twisting and I sure haven't been doing the wautusie either. I mean this just came on boom, nearly knocked my socks off.

I did not make it out to water flowers today, but I have to do it in the am or else they will shrivel up in this Texas heat. Our air quality stinks, we are a level orange. I can't wear my oxygen outside very long cause it gets hot, the plastic tubing makes my face sweat more. In other words I am not having much fun today.

Sorry for the rant, but I am so P.O. right now I could scream. Thought about getting into the pool, wrong, the steps are too far down and the wrong movement sends me screaming. I am normally able to get in my with help or a cane. Hope everyone had a LPD. Hugs to all, Susie

Hi, Susie,
Are we living in some parallel universe? My pain has gone up the past few days, and across my lower back but for me the usual pain down my right leg is now spreading down my left. I get scared more than angry. Just wondering NOW what's wrong?

Wish neither of us needed to rant, but rant on girl! I hear ya!

Ouch. sad

I too hear ya! Back spasms are worse when you don't know where they are coming from! I was recently placed on Robaxin for the spasms and it seems that it has helped with the spasms. But my B/T meds do not help at all and I feel that I am at a last stand here with them. Spoke with my pain doc about this and he wants to do a MYlogram and see if there is a pinched nerve that is causing all of this

Hi everyone: I find that my pain increase with high humidity. We all live in different areas of the country but this week here in N.J. with a heat wave going on
nothing i do helps or stops my pain. I prefer the cold weather.

I find tom that my pain increases with rain and cold weather. Its horrible because my knees are so sensitive to the cold weather that I feel them crunch and grind every winter. Wyoming has horrible winters and quite cold as well. So between my back, my knees and my right hip winters are totally horrible for me.

Oh Hell o:

I want to chime in here. Chirp. Chirp.
Now, folks ... my pain has moved up. I have swollen glands. Not at all like
me. With my Scoliosis, it feels way too close to my wind pipe. Things like
this always happen on Sunday night.
I have a Gynecologist, a Psychiatrist (for Xanax), A Pain doctor for all the
other stuff.
I will wait till tomorrow to go to my new doctor.
I'm new in town. I had an internist but I fired her.
Know why?
I went in and was diagnosed with Pneumonia.
I wanted to ask her some questions
She has NO time to answer questions.
(I'm not the gabby kind)
Anyway, she flounced out frowning and said "I have no time. I have patients"
Her assistant and I weren't sure how she spelled that. I'm sure it wasn't
"Patience"
I'm off topic.
Stray, I thought I came from the place in the United States that had the
very worst air. Hanford, CA. (Central Valley) At 3 am the cow smell settles
over the valley and can actually make you throw up! Every third person has
Asthma.
My flowers are dying.
Anyway. My best answer for almost anything is, "Take some Xanax!" (If
it's safe, of coursE) I think Chronic Pain puts us in a panic state.
