Hi all ~ I apologize but I can't find the thread where some wonderful people told me to take the pain meds to be proactive and not reactive ! But I am doing that and along with the PT and additional excercise I am feeling really good ! I have had pain but it has been minimal and you all know how nice that is ! I am really excited that although life will never be "normal" it was not horrible on Friday and today ! I hope that scarred is doing well and tom you make me laugh on every thread I read!
I would like to understand the beach party a bit more. I try to read it all but I seem to be too dense to get it !
PAlady-Cloe and anyone I missed who has communicated with me I hope all is going well for you ~
Keep me in the loop :-)
Thanks to all for being so wonderful !

Hey Cp: You made my day !!!!!!! love to hear that one of us is doing "ok" ---------trying to think of somthin clever hmmmmmmmmmmm ?
Anyway please stay in touch good or bad. Praying for You "to join" life painfree forever, Your friend for life Tom
Almost forgot Our beach party ! ! I picked two songs so far to dance to: one is Shake Your Booty and that all time favorite YMCA . I have different thongs for each dance and my : Thunder Down Under Group will be "backing" me up but i believe I'll get all the attention from all of our pain monsters.
Hopefully You can attend ?? Right now Pa Lady, Ry, Scarry, Pam and a list of others have reserved front row seats in hopes of "thong" catching.

CP,
Glad to hear the new regimen is working out better for you! And don't worry about figuring out the Beach Part thread. Just jump on in. It's all made up and as long as we're playing by the rules of the forum (gotta keep it family friendly and such) we can be as creative as we want. I just had people "name" their Cabanas as a start. And you can tell me how you want your cabana fixed up - because it's all virtual anyway. And our "bodies" are virtual on that thread so we have no pain and no meds and can do anything our little brains can make up!

So it's just a "virtual" beach party on the south shores of Lake Erie and everyone gets their own little cabana ('hut"!) and we'll have campfires and music and water activities and Scarred and her hubby have thrown in some football (Big Ben is the quarterback for the Pitsburgh Steelers!) and you can throw in anything you want. Sj wanted a sea creature building contest on the sand, and Cloe wants to go hunting for buried treasure. Dive on in with us and tell us what you'd like!

CP: I'm so glad to hear you are feeling a little better! it is hard to come to terms with taking the meds, but worth it in the long run. And don't feel dense about the Beach Party! I got lost somewhere in the middle there too... Sorry, Tom! I think I'll auction off my front row ticket and hang out back at my cabana with the comfy Tempurpedics and my friendly masseurs. CP, you are welcome to join me there for a super great massage (I've got 3 very handsome virtual masseurs, so we could each have one and the other can be our margarita runner). We can let the rest of them figure out the craziness on by the bonfire! LOL! tongue

Sounds like we need to get back to a few basics on the Beach, which is fine with me!

Tom - I think you gotta keep the thong on!

Okay ~ I think I get the beach party now , but I want to know how we picture Tom in a thong LOL !
I want a four sided cabana with curtains I can open and close because when I get in too much pain i move around alot
Then i want the margaritas and the masseuse's that RY has.
As well I want an Ipod speaker system so I can have great calming music because nothing soothes me better than good tunes
I also need a personal chef or someone to bring me food because I am a good old italian girl who loves to eat ! Hubby calls me Zaftig !
As well I need something to float in Lake Erie with because when I am in the water I feel no pain !!!!
I adore you all for providing this fun party and I am so exited to join in !
Am going take my meds now and relax ~ Hubby got a little sauced tonight so I already put him to bed , sometimes he just needs a break from my reality even though he loves me :-)
How is Scarred ???
xoxoxo

Scarred is fine CP...just doing my thing trying to get through another day of pain and horrid shoot pain down the legs. I blew up earlier at hubby feeling useless in all this moving business and he told me don't worry about it things will work out fine. This move really has us both at odds about how to do things and we still don't know where are going so things are a little topsy tervy at my house right now. Oh well, I will get through this like I do everything else in my life right? Hubby told me he just doesn't know how I do it....I asked what and he said live with all your pain all day long. I told him that I just try to get through the day and hope the next day will be brighter.

On a more personal note; hubby is crabby trying to quit chewing and I am trying to quit smoking (down to my last 4 cigs) so things around here are a little tense from that. But like everything else that has happened in our marriage we will get through this too, just gotta stick together on things. Wound up cords on the desktop computer and hubby packed my desktop up so that is out of the way and done. CP sometimes mine just has to blow off steam as well and they are planning a party for him when he is done with his old job. For now we still as I have said before don't know where we are going and are trying to figure that out as well. Its down to either we are staying in WY in which case we will still sell the house and either move to Lovell (14 miles to the east of us) or to Powell where hubby is currently employed or we will head for KS but that is still in the air and really don't know what the boss has planned for that.

VR is one way that I am able to escape my pain and when we had the VR hot tub party PA came up with a plan to do a beach bash, which I love her for. Escaping from our pain is in all of our minds and each one of us tries to do this one way or another with games, hot tub parties that don't really exist or beach parties. So CP join in the fun....I got Remi, Shadow and Jazz at the beach throwing the ball for them and Shadow my black lab has taken a liking to Tucker so those two are out swimming around the waters.

Your friend in pain.....

Scarred

P.S. I am so glad that you are having a good day. Its the best news I have heard all week :-)

Scarred -
Thanks for the kind words! It was your hot tub party that got my little brain going! And you know in part, as we think about our "virtual" parties and such it becomes a real part of us. I know that I smile when I think of everyone's cabana and having music and campfires and The Beach Boys (more about that on the Beach Party thread) and anything else we can come up with.

So CP jump on over to the Beach Party thread and describe what you want so everyone there can see it! And remember - your virtual body has no pain!
