Ok here we go we are gonna do a little pole here. It'll be fun to see what this one holds.

What is your favorite dessert? Why?

Mine is Strawberry shortcake. The strawberries this summer were extra delicious so I have made a little shortcake for dessert and am sitting here eating it. YUM!

Oh, the pollsters are out, huh? yeah

I'm going to go with Crème brûlée. MMMMMMmmmmmmmm......

Very few places make it properly, but when it's done well it's an unparalleled treat! Melt in your mouth magnificence!

I have however had a real nice chocolate mud pie that was so good I went back for seconds! Ohhhh would I love to have the recipe for that!

It was in GA that one of my neighbors made me one and man was I ever intrigued with the yummy chocolate dessert!

Hmmm.....I've got to think about this.

First question - do I have to pick just one??? tongue

I will be back....hungrier than ever, I'm sure!

PaLady-------> pondering eyes

Ok I've got to start with a good old fashioned brownie. Chewy but no frosting. Probably because I just had one (well, two :-) ) last night!

But plain (yep, you heard right - no toppings) New York style cheesecake is right up there. Guess they're both "basics" if I was on an island and had those two available I'd be a real happy camper! yeah

PaLady-------> going to hunt for brownies and cheesecake!

PaLady, you are right about the Brownie. Simple classic. And I agree on the cheesecake too. Toppings just ruin it. I think you and I will make excellent roomies at the (what did you call it? resort?) some day.

Okay, Tom. Potato Salad for desert? Hmmm.... Does that mean you serve chocolate cake for the main course? tongue

LOL potato salad for dessert???????? Your so silly Tom! Gee wonder where the potato salad keeps coming in at? PA; cheesecake is sooooo gooooood. Brownies are excellent especially with cream cheese frosting. But a good old fashioned brownie (chewy of course) without anything on it is good too.

Ok new rule for this thread......can be more than 5 desserts and you have to share at least one with me LOL!!!

the brownie recipe is from a chef over here in the uk called Jamie oliver. Its from his Fifteen restaurant and they are the best ever. I wasn't a fan of brownies till we tried his recipe and well i could easy put on weight eating them, especially right from the oven still hot, wee bit chewy slightly soft centre. Oh i have to stop this, i have just had my lunch and my mouth is watering at the thought.!!!! If you want recipes just email me i can easy pass them on to you. jane2709 at aol dot com xx

(I rewrote your email address so the web bots don't find it and spam you like crazy! devil )
