For those of you crazy beach party goers, we are starting volume 2 only because the original thread was getting to be too long, so I have asked the administrator to lock it out.  Please continue your virtual posts here.  Continue the fun!

Thanks PaLady and all the other posters for your creativity and whimsical natures!!  It's a good diversion from the pain.

Hugs,

Thanks, Lindaloo!

Ok, everyone, since a lot of you may "join" the party and not read Vol. 1, this is a fun thread where we are in "virtual" bodies so we have no pain and can do all the activities we want! I'm "hosting" it through Labor Day (maybe longer, who knows?) on the south shores of Lake Erie.

We are about to have a beach concert this weekend, thanks to Scarred, from the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean! And Scarred and her hubby are doing a rib fest and if you read the "dessert" thread you get an idea of what the dessert buffet is going to look like!! tongue

We do need to play by the rules of the forum, and keep this family friendly, but other than that unleash your creativity! I'd suggest reading some of Volume One to get the idea! yeah

Everyone has a cabana, and lots of people have named theirs, and you can have it appointed any way you want. So just tell me your cabana's name and what you want in it and it's a done deal! Vol. 1 tells you all the other cabana listings so far, but there's plenty of room for more.

And for you adventurous types, there will be treasure hunting in shipwrecks starting next week!

Now get ready to dance and sing at the water's edge!! yeah

Beach Boys are ready to kick off the weekend event with a rock n roll beach concert to blow us all out of the water!!! So away we go!

To set the scene for each of you; imagine if you will a white sandy beach as far as the eye can see. The water rolling in waves to the shore, gently lapping along the beach and teasing our feet with its warm liquid. To your left a long table set with desserts (all from Dessert thread) of your choice. A non-alcoholic fountain sits in the center flowing champaign over beautiful crystal champaign glasses in a tiered pattern. To the left of the fountain sits a fountain of chocolate both white and dark and below it in beautiful wood bowls we have big ripe strawberries, marshmallows, cherries, bananas and other delightful goodies to dip into the chocolate fountain with skewers that are made from wood.

To the left of the shoreline stands a huge stage set with equipment ready for the Beach Boys to play for us. The scent of BBQing ribs fills the air and a huge platter with steaming corn on the cob is waiting for our teeth to sink into. A big bowl of potato salad is sitting on ice ready for our eating delights and each of you are presented with a Hawaiian lay placed around your neck with yummy smelling flowers.

The sunset begins to unfold before our eyes as we enjoy our meal and suddenly from the stage the lights go out and we go wild as the Beach Boys take the stage and begin to play "Little Ole Lady From Pasadena" PA and I jump up to dance (our bodies are not in any pain) and as all of us begin to dance around the warm summer sand the concert gets louder and louder until we are all happy and smiling as we dance about and sing the songs that The Beach Boys are playing for us!

This concert will last tonight and tomorrow night with a special guest to sing to us tomorrow night that will be revealed then :-)

Enjoy my friends!

VR i have a body like Angelina jolie, my cabana, is going to elegant with candles and flowers, i will have my fave music playing and my own private masseur in the form of the one and only Jason Statham. Oh yeh im ready for this party. Not only will he massage my beautifully tanned and toned body but he will feed me grapes and then we shall dance the night away. Sorry guys i dont need deserts anymore. I have Jason to occupy me, with his cool dancing and fab kung fu moves, can i add him to the entertainment?

Cloe,
We are on the south shore of Lake Erie, which is one of the 5 Great Lakes in the north eastern U.S. (sometimes I forget there's people here from around the world!). It's actually the southernmost Lake. No islands and although in reality many beaches here are a little rocky, we're going to make our virtual beach completely sandy! Remember, it's your virtual body so you can leave your agorophobia at home! yeah And there should be plenty of aromas to entice you outside!

Worse - I don't know Jason (gosh, I really think I'm showing my age, but hey, this weekend GRANNY RULES! LOL) but maybe his entertainment should be private in your cabana? Last time we had some public dancing we, err, ran into problems. eyes

I don't know what time this thing starts either, but hopefully soon! Scarred and hubby I think are off at the grills finishing the ribs. BTW, Scarred, what's your rub/sauce recipe? YUM!

Palady jason statham is an actor, films like the transporter, he is quite the hunk, but he does realy smart moves with his kung fu. That is the entertainment i am talking about lol not what you are hinting at. even in vr i would still be the shy retiring type, ha ha ha

Scarred,
Something either screwed up with my computer or something changed on this post. It was ok until you posted the last couple of posts. I'm wondering if it's the extended letters and periods. Could you delete some of them to keep it in the space of the page?

Otherwise this is kind of crazy. I can't see the whole post on the page the way I used to.

Thanks!

PaLady
p.s. I don't know if that's the problem or not, but it's the only thing I could think of that changed.

Deleted per your request PA. Sorry about that. I was saying in my post; Hubby has a special recipe for his rib sauce that even I don't know about. Then I was introducing the Beach Boys.

So sorry

Oh, Scarred - I didn't mean you had to delete the whole posts!! I was just wondering if the parts where you did all the "..." and letters in long rows without interruption had somehow caused the screen to screw up. And it seems back to normal for me at least since you did it, but I don't think it had to do with the total content of the post. My hunch is it was something about making what the computer read as one long sentence with out a break.

I'm sorry - I didn't mean for you to delete everything!! Please re-post it when you get the energy!

I'm so sorry I wasn't clearer! eyes

Don't have the energy to repost babe. Too tired and really am in gobs of pain since its raining here cats and dogs ack!!!! It's ok hun, I thought that you were having problems with both posts so I deleted them both. Misconfusion is quite easily done on my part when I am having this bad of a day and I most likely misunderstood your request.

I do apologize for that hun and hope that you are not upset with me. I tried to change the post so that it didn't have all the ...s but since it said I could not edit my post (don't know why I've been able to do it before) I just deleted it and will repost what I said in the original post in this post.

"Hubby makes an awesome sauce for the ribs (that was the jest of that part of the post) and is hard at work at the BBQ getting everyone's ribs ready to eat. The stage goes dark as the stars twinkle brightly above and as one light flashes on I am standing on the stage smiling at all of you. I look at you all smiling with no pain in your eyes and in the microphone I say.

"Are you all ready to rock??" The crowd goes wild and screams of delight are heard from PA, Ry, Char, CP and the rest of ya. "Ladies and Gentlemen PA's Beach Party is proud to bring you.. the one the one THE BEACH BOYS!!!!!!"

Screams again and wild applause as behind me the stage brightly shines with a tripping light show. Music cues and as I head off stage The Beach Boys begin to sing "Little Ole Lady From Pasadena!

Get ready to dance in the warm sandy beaches of Lake Erie as the Beach Boys rock our Friday and Saturday nights!

Of course I head off to the Dessert table to devour a helping of Strawberry shortcake and some chocolate truffles.

There ya go PA. Pretty much what I posted (except for a few additions of my thoughts) rock n roll and dance the night away!

Love

Scarred

Scarred - I'm absolutely NOT upset with you!! I hope you're not with me! Looks like we're both having weird nights. (I wish there was an icon for an upsidown head - that's how I feel!) I wonder if it was just a temporary gliche with the computer program since you couldn't edit. That's what I thought you'd do - just delete some of the periods and such. So it may not have been that after all

Anyway.....

THE CONCERT ROCKED!! And I'm still rockin!!! Granny's gonna be dancin until they take the stage again tomorrow night! yeah

But it was strange....when I got to the dessert table it looked like someone had been eating while the Beach Boys were playing....
Hmmmm.....wonder who that coulda been? Or were you just sampling to make sure everything was just righ? devil

Anyway, tell your hubby the ribs were wonderful and I was pleased he didn't use peanut butter in his rub! LOL

I'm going back to the dessert table for seconds. Or is it thirds? Fourths?

Oh, that cheesecake! (Ry, I hope you got some!) tongue

Thanks to Scarred and her hubby for what's bound to be a food filled rock fest for the weekend! yeah

Sorry, I was at the dessert table, too. All that dancing and jumping and screaming was making me famished. :)

Shoulda had some of the ribs too though 'cause now I'm going into a sugar coma.
I'm gonna go lay down on the beach somewhere. Come find me when the next act begins -- or when the pastry chefs bring out some new desserts.

nighty night!

Ummmm.... yeah, I was right there with Frances, trolling the dessert table whilst you all danced the night away. Had to get that cheesecake before PaLady ate it all! tongue

Okay, now I'm in need of some serious dancing myself, though. As Frances noted - the sugar coma has begun!!!! Okay folks! Who's on next?

Well...Well...Well. Looks like I wasn't the only one looking for a little food hehehehe.

PA; I could never be upset with you sweetie, you are quite understanding when it comes to my pain along with everyone else here and I feel like you are someone that I consider a friend. Big Ben showed up last night (did you see that PA?) after a huge win in their first Preseason game over the Eagles (16-10 was the final score) and he rocked the night away with us! He told us that Charlie Batch their second string Quarterback broke his collar bone last night and is in the hospital so we are sending out prayers to him to heal quickly from his injury. Charlie will be out of play for the next 4-6 weeks so they will probably have to play Big Ben or their third stringer for the rest of the Preseason games. :-(

Anyway, Ben was in high spirits as he danced the night away with our Beach Party! The ribs were delicious and there wasn't any left overs for Jazz, Shadow, Remington or Tucker and they were bummed not to get any scraps.

The Dessert table will be fully stocked again tonight for another round of Beach Boys concert and Jan and Dean will be stopping by to play a few tunes for us as well. Gonna be another great night on the beaches of Lake Erie as we dance the night away once more. Hubby went and got some more ribs so round two of the ribs will be tonight so that we all get to have some more yummy delights at our summer fest! Brian Love (lead singer of the band) said that they have a special surprise for all of us as a "Surprise" will be arriving tomorrow night to entertain us (not Jan and Dean but someone else as well) and that should be exciting to see who they are going to surprise us with.

I hope you all had fun at the Beach Boys Blast put on by me and hubby and I want to thank each of you for supporting our efforts as we are celebrating what hopefully will be a great concert! Thanks PA for allowing hubby and I to do this and we have enjoyed bringing you the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean into your beach for some fun! I also wanna thank Ry and the rest of you for allowing hubby and I to bring you this fun time.

Anyway, its 4am here in WY and I am in terrible pain (doing to much to help hubby get the house in order for the big showing later on this morning) and cannot sleep. I will keep you updated as to the news from our place as to whether this guy takes the house and truly hope that he makes us an offer.

PA I too wish they had an upside down face cause I too feel that way. I wish this pain would end and feel as though I am upside down.

Anyway...until my next post.

Hugs

Scarred xoxoxo

Okay, folks! It's time we wake this party up!!!! The Beach Boys concert was SUPERB (thank you Scarred & hubby) the desserts DIVINE (thanks Frances, PaLady, Amanda, Cloe...who did I miss?) and the dancing was... well.... maybe we'll just say "what happens on the beach STAYS on the beach!" tongue

Anyways.... I know PaLady and I were up all hours of the night last night and it looks like Scarred was up pretty early this morning too, and let's just face it - it hasn't been the greatest week for some of us in that other world outside of this lovely beach PaLady set up for us. Sooooo...... I've decided to stir things up a bit (and PaLady, I hope you won't mind if I temporarily hijack the beach party!).

Here's my plan: Scarred has re-stocked the dessert buffet, so we're good there. I think the chocolate hot-tub is still in working order, but I've ordered another one so we can double the occupancy - 20 seats each so now we've got 40 spots for soaking in warm liquid chocolate (only the finest of course). I have also made a few calls and pulled a few strings and gotten a couple of hot-air balloons to the beach front. Rides are free and will cruise up and down the beach at sunrise and sunset for beautiful views.

I think PaLady may have another concert lined up for later on this weekend, but the balloons and chocolate will be here until Monday morning. Everyone enjoy!!! yeah

Good afternoon, everyone (umm it is afternoon, isn't it?).

BURP!!!

Oh, excuse me!!! redface

Ok, let me start again.

Scarred thank you and hubby for a great, great night! I can't wait for more ribs, though. Could he please buy double so that not only can I have leftovers tomorrow, but we can bring a few over to the dog beach? I felt bad we didn't get them any goodies!

As for the dessert table being restocked....ahem...

Yes, I was up in the middle of the night, but that is when pastry chefs are working! yeah So I bartered with the chef and have a stash of cheesecakes and brownies hidden and under lock and key and I won't say where! devil

I trusted ya all last night to be dancing when it was dance time and here you were raiding the desserts early so I beat you to it today!!! tongue tongue tongue

I won't get fooled again! nono

Ry - I hope you'll still let me on a hot air balloon! Anyone who wants to be daring can try a parachute jump at sunset - just don't collide with the balloons!

Let's hope we all have a bit more energy for our virtual party tonight!

PaLady ----- > hungry again yeah

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't even see the preseason game, but then I think it's too early for football. I'm still too busy watching the Pirates (the baseball team!) lose!

Someone has Lindt truffles-pass them over I want the white chocolate ones please.
Also, please reserve me a seat in the chocolate hot tub.
Lots and lots of dancing has made me remarkably hungry.
I was thinking that after the dancing and dining excesses of this weekend we should schedule some swimming races for wedensday or thursday-after all we have a great big lake their for us to use.

HEY GANG!!!

Sorry to arrive so late, but my private plane had to wait out some bad weather in Key West.  After all, it's hurricaine season down south.  Having just arrived at my cabana, I'm starting to put up the TIKI BAR and get it well stocked with all sorts of tropical libations.  After all, who doesn't like umbrella drinks!!! tongue   Darn, can't find my lost shaker of salt!!!

I'm wearing my loudest, most obnoxious tropical shirt (over my very tiny bikini...LOL!!!) and festive lei.  I brought shirts, leis and sunglasses for everyone!!!  My tiki torches are firmly planted in the sand and I've got the beach chairs spread out in front of the cabana.  It's going to take me a couple of hours to hang up all the festive strings of lights, shaped like parrots, palm trees, flip-flops, and pink flamingos.  I've got an inflatable palm tree set up with a cooler at the bottom, filled with Corona's and Landshark beer.  Also setting up the giant inflatable pink flamingo.  I've also brought along a outdoor shower set-up, mandatory for getting the sand out of all those places it shouldn't be...LOL!!!  Needless to say, I've got the Jimmy Buffett music playing in the background.  Speaking of which, my good friend Jimmy B. will be arriving sometime tomorrow with the whole CORAL REEFER BAND to provide us with some more entertainment.  Those guys will really get the party started!!!  Don't forget to wear those wacky shirts tomorrow!!!

Gotta run, the margaritas are READY!!!

Yumm....Cheeseburgers!
Can't wait for the Jimmy Buffett concert.
Okay, wearing wildly colored shirt, drink in hand and enjoying the music, I think its a good day to alternate between sitting in the hot tub and laying on the massage table-this evening I may be up for a bit of partying.
