Hi All!

So sorry for not being around for a while, I'm very sorry, I've just been going through a lot!  I've been doing SO much in preparation for this surgery, for the implant of the stim.  I decided to go through with it, after much consideration and talking with my doctor.  I feel that this might be helpful for me to some degree!  I really need some relieve and I hope this is what I need!

I am going tonight for a MRI, my last one before the implant, and this is to look for the Cauda Equina that we were so worried about!!  Thank you all on that great advice!!  Also, I took your great advice as well and I'm getting a Urodynamics Test too, tomorrow!!  So we can get to the bottom of this incontinence mess!  My doc was very good about those questions and he wants to make sure that things are ok before I go for the implant!  So, I hope that things work out for the best!

Oh, and I didn't mention, the surgery is on the 18th, which is Monday!  So, I'm very nervous, but I have many positive thoughts too!!  I can't wait until this is over with, that is what's on my mind lately!!  LOL!  I just want to be done with the planning and testing for now!

I will be spending the week with my parents, so I may or may not have internet access, but I will let you all know what happened after I return!

I hope that everyone is having a low pain day!  I haven't been having ANY of those as of late, and I'm really looking forward to some relief!  And I hope that everyone is doing well!  SO SO SORRY for not being around, but reality called, and I had to answer!  LOL!  So, hello to all my friends, and my support has never left, neither has my thoughts or prayers for you all!  Thank you for being there for me, and helping me through this rough time!  I appreciate having such wonderful people to support, and be supported!  You are all so great!  Thank you!

Thank you SO much PALady!!  Well, I will give a quick update, because I'm feeling kind of ill.  I went for the surgery yesterday, and long story short, they didn't get the leads placed, so they will have to try another time.  The doc helping my doc, I don't want to get into right now, but, I don't think that I want him to touch me again!  And they hit a nerve in surgery, and since then my foot has been in SOOOOO much pain!!  So, I'm just taking my meds, and now after being cheered up by the beach party, I am going to rest! smurf

I read in the beach party that you had something going on!? confused   I'm very concerned and want to know what's been going on, please direct me, or PM me and tell me which thread so you don't have to repeat it?!  Thank you!  wink I do hope that you are doing well and having a LPD!  smilewinkgrin Sorry that I've been away for so long, but I've really been going through some pain, and income issues!  I am healing now, but should be around, I hope!! turn

Since I've been gone, I have thought of this little family, blush and I haven't forgotten anyone, I have been worried about all of you, hoping that you have LPD's, and have had you all in my thoughts and prayers! turn yeah

Thanks, Dragoness. I can't even remember the thread myself - oh, maybe the one where I was asking for TLC! LOL As of yesterday I am without a car for....upwards of a month????? I'm waiting for the dealership to call so I can't stay online much (have old dial up connection). Have an older car and they don't make that model anymore so they're searching all over for parts and can only find 2 of the 3 I need! Income issues --- you hit the nail on the head. Combined with pain....won't go there right now!

So sorry you had a lousy experience and if you don't "think" you want that doc to touch you again then I think you KNOW you don't want him to! That's not a small thing - injuring a nerve. Like we don't already have enough problems? Please, stay away from that one and think long and hard before you go back in. See how you heal right now, ok?

More later...
Hugs,
PaLady

Dragoness:

It sounds like this hasn't been the greatest week for you. Sorry, friend! Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you. I'm in agreement with PaLady, though - ditch the surgeon if you even think he is a problem.

Rest and recover this week. Take care of you!

Thank you for the well wishes!  They are GREATLY appreciated!!  I can't stay on long right now, I'm not doing the best today.  But, I am in total agreement, I am done with that surgeon!  He is not touching me again!

Also, don't know if anyone has experienced this or not, and I'm not sure what to do yet, I'm still waiting on hearing from my doc, but the nerve that they hit, that is now the other foot, the WHOLE LEG is SWOLLEN, very swollen, and I don't know if it has to do with whatever they did to that nerve or what!?  Does anyone know or experienced that?  Should I be going to the ER, or wait on my doc to call, is it just something that has to heal?  I hope!

They left me with no good leg to stand on!!  I trust MY doc, but not the other one!  I don't know what they left me with, and I'm hoping that it's not more issues!!

Well, have to go, need to go rest!  Thank you VERY much for your thoughts and concerns!!  And thank you for being my friends, and my CP family!!  LOL!

Hope you're having a LPD everyone!

Dragoness,
The whole leg is swollen?? That does NOT sound normal, and my thought is to either contacdt your doc IMMEDIATELY and tell whoever answers it's urgent and you need to speak with him, or call/go to the ER. I don't know what the procedure involved, but if there's any possibility of a blood clot you want to find that out NOW. So get some help ASAP, ok??

Thanks PALady!!  I hope to hear from him tonight, I called and left a message, I assume they were at lunch, but I explained what was going on, on the machine.  Last night the swelling was REALLY BAD, but today it has gone down.  But what also started last night was my foot, up to my upper ankle turned a bruising color, and the bottom of my foot is turning blackish in a spot.  The leg is swollen still, but not quite as bad.  You really think that it could be a blood clot?!  OMG!!  Now I'm getting really scared, because that was a thought of mine too cry , I was hoping that I was just being paranoid!!  Maybe I should start thinking of the ER, but they don't know my history, that is what I'm afraid of!  smhair I was hoping that I could see my doctor!!

Hope that everyone is having a LPD  smilewinkgrin , because I'm sure not! eyes

Sorry that I'm not on too much, I'm not doing too well lately, but I've been thinking of everyone!!

Dragoness,
I hope you heard from your doc's office today, but if you haven't by the time you read this please at least CALL an ER. Often you can speak to a nurse and describe your symptoms and see if you should go in. I don't like the sound of what you're describing. Maybe I'm off base, but the bruising would seem to indicate you had some kind of hematoma.

Talk to someone tonight, ok?!

Thank you SO much for your concerns and suggestions!!  I was feeling the same way!  Though, my doc did call yesterday!!  He was SO apologetic about the whole ordeal, and he said that placing the wire and moving it around aggrevated the nerve and is creating all that problem!  But he wants to see me on Monday and check my foot!  So, I'm still recovering yet, so I'm not going to stay on too long!!  Thank you again for being a friend!

You're welcome. Keep us posted, but if anything worsens over the weekend I'd go to the E.R. if I was in your place.

Maybe you should also elevate your foot, but I'm not sure about that!
