Yes that's right my CP'ers I am up at 1:30 am because of the horrible pain that made it impossible to sleep. Both hips and my left leg were in so much pain that I could not stand the bed any longer so I got up. So I lay here on the couch watching reruns of the Jeffersons.....Three's Company and the Brady Bunch until I can get tired enough to fall asleep.

This really bites ya know? It seems no matter what I do to try to make the pain go away or at least subside a bit I am blasted with a sudden urge to kick myself. UGGGGGGG!!!!!! Is there anything worse then dealing with the pain??? I think not. Anyway, gonna try to relax and see if I cannot get a tiny bit of sleep before the inspection team comes to the house at 10:30am.

hugsssss

Scarred: You speak of the "Inspection Team." Whazzat?
I hate the pain too. It's given me a new appreciation for TV.
I know what you might like. A DVR!
I bless my DVR.

P.S. Sometimes I don't go to bed till 3:30 or 4 AM. Hey you, we've got to stop
meeting like this. ; - )

The house is being inspected by the new buyers to see if it is up to their snuff LOL I have in the bedroom, a tivo player and record many of my favorite shows. But since hubby is asleep I did not want to bother his sleep and decided to go into the living room.

Huh!? Mar hun I don't understand what food has to do with not being able to sleep because of the pain. I think I was very specific in why I was up at 1:30am this morning and had not eaten anything in oooooo at least 9 hours (since 4 or 5 last night). Secondly I do keep a pain monitoring diary to see when it is bad and when it is not so bad, but from all my records (in the last 4 years of doing this) I have not seen one thing that would explain why I am not getting the relief that I should from the meds.

I have and still do get into a hot bath or the hot tub in the middle of the night to try to relieve the pain but that doesn't seem to help either. The problem is that when I am woken during the night from my leg pain if it does not go away I feel there is no use in staying in bed and tossing and turning, keeping hubby awake with my non-sleeping habit, so its easier for me to go out on the couch and try to quietly meditate or watch tv to ease the pain.

Anyway hope this cleared up some of my post.

hugs

scarred - I really feel you. There have been quite a few nights where I was out reading, sitting, doing anything other than sleeping because I hurt so bad. I'm lucky that right now it takes quite a bit of pain to keep me awake through the amitriptylene. It's sad - and I even told my doctor this - if I'm mentally addicted to any medication it's the amitriptylene - it allows me to sleep, and without it I am just a walking zombie because I toss and turn all the time. *hugs*

Thank you all for all the kind thoughts. I think my body is ready to shut down tonight, which is a good thing if I can get some sleep, I'm just tired today. The new meds are here and I will take my topamax tonight before bed. I am so glad to see that I have many friends on here and I love you all for being just who you are :-)
