Hello everyone,

I recently heard about this site from a good friend..... thought I would drop in and add myself to the mix heheh.......

I have been reading some of the posts... sad, but inspiring.

Being a long termer, I guess I have found a way to endure ... there is no wrong or right way to go here...just what brings some peace.

I have over the years lost faith in the medical profession. There are a few that still view it as a dedication and not a (well-paid) occupation...I think heheh

They really only learn what they know of pain from 'us' anyway... trial and error. If I had a buck for every test they have done, every ml of blood every bit of tissue they have taken, blah blah.. well, let's just say , money wouldn't be a problem.

The old 'let's try this' attitude is all to prevalent with most....Gee, it worked for Mr. Smith??? haha sorry, please excuse my glibness...nah, don't, I earned it heheh.

I push my doctors, and I don't let up till I get an answer I understand...they don't like it, but well, too bad. They are pubic servants, and I will get what I pay for.

Sadly, we put our faith in 'them'..they then think they are gods. They are not.

Sorry, I got off track there, hahah that happens. As I said, just popped in to join in the convo...

Hello Maree,

Welcome Maree my dearest friend, and I am glad that you decieded to join in with the forum and I hope it helps you as much as it has me.  I have learned alot from you over the yrs of how to undure with degnity and I have learned alot from my new friends here as well.

One of the things I so love about you is the warrior in you and your ablity to fight with all that you have gone through and contunue to go through.  You are truely my inspration.  Just wanted you to know that just in case you didnt.

I think we as CP forget that we have the power to insist on treatment and good treatment at that and answers that we can understand.  And its a power we have that no one can take from us when we live in world of something always being taken.

I hope you glean as much from this site as I have my dearest friend!

Love you Always
Lara

Thanx Lara..........you are the sweetest girl.
Hahaha the warrior... well, I have given up many things to this disease Lara, but, I draw the line at my 'personal power'. I have watched many believe themselves 'less' for thier suffering than Mr. Goodhealth...& expect less because of this belief. But it isn't true, I am as worthy as a healthy person......as are we all.

You are an inspiration to me as well, luv. I think we utilise the term 'friends' extremely well.... and anytime you're ready to hit the road, just give me a yell hahaha

Love to you, always, Lara,
Maree

Hi Lara;

I too want to welcome you to the forum. Warriors we are for we struggle each day to try and fight through the pain and get our doctors to do what we think should be done to make our pain go away. I am moved that you are pushing your doc into finding the reason for your pain and that inspires me to push mine a little harder as well. I think all of us that are dealing with CP are feeling left out of the world, like we are banished from others lives just because we cannot do some of the things that others do. But I say let them try to keep me out, I will fight through the masses and if I must will go to arms to fight for my right to stay in control of my CP!

hugs

Hello Maree,

Welcome to the chronic pain forum of Healing Well. We are glad you posted here. I see you have a warrior spirit. That is good. It keeps one going and not giving in. I too have had my share of non-complacent doctors and I always urge others to seek out another doctor when that happens. Don't stay stuck in the rut, I always say.

Well keep posting. We look forward to getting to know you better and hearing your varied thoughts on things!

God bless and gentle hugs,

Lindaloo
