OT Insomnia and sleep deprivation

I have been up for six days now  it has been six days since I slept .I have tried everything I can think of to sleep  but to no avail. Scarred I know you have problem with insomnia  do you have any suggesstions.? Im desperate. I hope everyone has a lpd.

I think you need to call your doctor for immediate intervention. You need help with this, as going that long without sleep is dangerous to your mind and body. How is the pain doing with all of this insomnia? Do you take medications to help with pain as well?

Linda, I take lortab for my back pain. I have an appt with my doctor late this afternoon . I know it is dangerous to my body and mind  I feel the danger so does my hubby knows how it is affecting me . I hope you have a low pain day.

I finally got some sleep last night my family dr. gave me ambien and I feel like my old me again . Thank You Linda for your advice . I have to start on an exercise program also such as walking which is hard for me will have to go slow will walk with my husband . I also have cut out my caffeine in my diet and also colas. I am hoping with all these changes I can get my sleep back on track.I hope everyone has a low pain day.

Oh kara hun I am so sorry I wasn't here for your post! I have been so busy with getting things packed for this move and trying to get things in order with the new broker and everything that I have not had half a moment to myself to post a message. I am glad to see that you did ask your doc about some sleeping aide it will help to get you off to sleep land. I cut out the caffeine after 5 pm so that I can sleep at night (of course then again I'm up three times at night still anyway lol).

HEALTH ISSUES: Herniated discs at S-1-L5, L5-L4, L4-L3. Two level fusion (2000); one level fusion (2002); Revision at L4-L3 (2003). Diagnosed with Failed Back Syndrome, Permanent Nerve damage and Chronic Pain

Medications:

Kadian, Lexipro, Percocet, Temazapim, Lunista, and Robaxin.
