That's right I said it! It's done! This morning at 11:am the house was taken off the market and placed under contract! The couple that is buying our home waived doing any inspections and will take over the house at 6:00pm MST on the 20th of this month. This is exactly when we are scheduled to be out of the house anyway and a few of the guys from hubby's work will be coming over that day to help us move the big furniture from the house into the moving van.

Then hubby and I will spend the night in our camper on the 20th and the next morning proceed in the direction of KS the following morning. Have planned tomorrow to go and visit my dad before we have to leave for KS and I think this will be a good visit with him as I have not seen him in quite awhile. Then next week will be a busy week as hubby and I have to clean the two vehicles...I have to call to get the utilities shut off at a certain date and get the dogs into the vet for their yearly updates so that we will not have to hunt down a vet when we get to KS. Also have to do a few other things to get done but for the most part things are moving along quite quickly and looks like we will be back online and rolling along by the end of the month. turn

Anyway, thought I would share the good news with my CP friends! Gentle hugs and hoping for each of you LPN.

Super news scarred!! Hope the move goes smoothly for you and hubby. Sure hope you don't suffer any more pain from all the packing and driving and unpacking. Take care of yourself and don't over-do anything.
Best of health.... and much good luck for your move

Thanks Lynn and Ry! I am very happy that we got this place sold and that everything is working in the direction that we are wishing to go. Went down to see my dad today (Sunday) and he was very proud of me for standing beside my husband in this move as well as being supportive to both of us in our new endeavor. I hugged him gently and remembered that he is very frail as he is stricken with COPD but he hugged me back and whispered to me "Love you. You are doing the right thing babe." and that about made me cry.

PA; These buyers are keepers! I am so glad that they have bought the house and think that they will get just as many memories out of this beautiful home as I have gotten out of it. I am ready to host a few BBQ's when I get to my new home in KS on my back porch with the evening breeze blowing softly through the trees as we listen to the morning doves coo away the night as the sun drifts off into the horizon.

Anyway, I'll be offline as of the 20th for about 2 weeks or so and will try to be back as soon as I can.

Gentle hugs my CP friends.

Did you watch the Steelers win today? smilewinkgrin Ben's time with us at the beach served him well! yeah

Oops - sorry! You just said you went to see your Dad. That sounds like it was a special moment with him. I take it you will now be several hours (I don't know the distance) from him? That is difficult, but sometimes necessary for us to move forward with our lives. I'm so glad he was supportive!

It seems to finally be going well for you! Great!! yeah

I heard about the big win PA!! I'll now be 12 hours from dad instead of 3 hours from him :-(. So a little more difficult to handle but we will work it out for visits. Getting ready to watch my Broncos stomp the Raiders into dust and bones!!!

GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gentle Hugs

Is that a little like the Steelers and the Browns rivalry? BYW, they're playing this weekend!

Thanks Kara!!! Oh BTW the Broncos stomped the Raiders to a 42-10 win to trump in the AFC West. The Colts lost their first game as did the Pats and the Chiefs as well as the Chargers so we are now #1 in our division in the 1st week of the regular season YAY!!!!!!! Can't wait for week two!!!

Got everything done for the week and am enjoying my final days of my almost last week of my old home (if that makes any sense). Got a dr appt on Monday and I will get another script round to tide me over until I get a new doc lined up and my medical records to pass along to the new doctor on KS.

hugs

Scarred,
Should I wish you Bon Voyage? Or is that just what you say to someone going on an ocean voyage? LOL

Safe travels, dear lady. Savor the last sweet week in the home that brought you so much, but be excited about what the future holds! A new adventure awaits you and your hubby!
