I don't know if it's part of the aging thing. I'm 56.
Maybe it's Altheimer's.
Maybe it's Attention Deficit Disorder getting worse.
I can't get used to directions in my new big town.
I've moved around a lot in my life.
Maybe it's just stupidity?
Anyway, my husband was put in a big hospital.
The hospital was in the big town.
I swear I didn't know up from down. or South from
Chicken soup.
My pain was awful ~
I felt like a lost child except I know enough to be embarrassed.
The nurses had to wheel ME out of the hospital in a wheel chair.
My daughter picked me up.
QUESTION: DOES PAIN EVER JUMP UP IN FRONT OF YOU
AND MAKE YOU ALMOST UNABLE TO THINK?

This pain makes me feel so vulnerable. Yup, just another
way to complain and vent.

Pamela,

I know how you feel. Sometimes a flare will happen and I will just lose all train of thought and it is a horrid feeling. I have gotten literally lost in stores and parking lots because of it. I think the scariest is when it happens when I am driving and all I can do it pull off the road and prey it gets well enough for me to get home. Sometimes I will just crank up the AC, set my heated seat at high and get home through pure force of will!

Take care and don't be embarrased. Most likely the people who saw won't even think twice about it and if they do and it is negative, that is their kharma.

In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children. The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted. The result is unruly children and childish adults. ~Thomas Szasz

Kes & Ekkorose:
It was incredibly good to get your posts. I felt so alone. I still do, of course,
but you're with me in thought.
I have a real increase in pain ~ guess you call it a flare. My entire spine
stings and I find it hard to smile.
Kes, what's RSD? You could either start it as a new subject or start here.
I guess it's ok to wander off topic here. Let's find out?
Pamela Neckpain will refocus and breathe right :-)

DiLane,
I don't think I'm in a Flare. I'm just doing my life.
