Thanks everyone! Sorry PA if I read you wrong. It just sounded that way when I rread it that I should be lucky I even have a dr. that will prescribe meds and that I have something to take. It is difficult to read tone in emails and difficult as well when I have so  pain that I want a solution so badly. I will continue on these meds and hope that things level out and that I will get a bit of relief soon. I can tell you that I am my best advocate and I have done all the work in trying to find an answer to my problems. Many people suffer from a TMJ disorder but not many know what to do with it. I am trying to correct the problem and not mask it at all the time.

Tmj,
Thanks for understanding that I didn't mean anything negative toward you. Remember I and the rest of us here are also in pain, and if you read a lot of our stories (mine included) you'll see the challenges we have finding decent doctors. And like you, we all want solutions badly, too. I wanted one so badly I ended up having back surgery that didn't do one thing to improve leg and foot nerve pain that I've had for nearly 4 years since a bad fall. So I understand your frustration, and desire to not take any more meds than you need. And your wish to be pain free and not have to take any of these meds - I still feel that way! But the reality is for me and many of us the pain is not going away, and we've got to decide between options we don't like. I hope you have better solutions and that your pain can end with the tmj treatment.

Thankyou PA. I know everyone here is in terrible pain.  And my wish for them is to feel better even for just one day. i am new here so I don't know everyone's story. These headaches have been going on for eight years with flare ups along the way. This headache has been there constantly from the moment I wake to the time I fall asleep (and there when I wake in the night) for more than a year with no relief. i am trying to keep working but the pain is getting the best of me. I called in sick for today. having a massage at 130 so I hope that will help a bit. I am trying to keep in mind there are people out there worse off than myself!!! i am taking one day at a time! Thanks for you support and I hope you will have a low pain day.
