I've never been on oxycontin but I do take 20 mg. oxycodone pills for breakthrough pain.In my case, after a year of the name brand I got switched to a generic and it works better and lasts longer for me. That always hasn't been the case with other generic drugs that I have to take so I was surprised, to say the least.I too am curious to see what some of the others have to say. Take care..........Rod
