I have some intense pain in my neck, my shoulder, and my butt for 3 days.
I think it's pinched nerves and osteophites made worse by Scoliosis.
I don't know what to do.
I don't want to talk to my pain doctor. He will just say, "I'll prescribe more
Methadone," (or he won't!)
He might say, "I told you this would happen. Now is the time for your
pain pump."
He might say, "Your problems are too serious for me to take care of,I'll
send you to a Neurosurgeon."
The Neurosurgeon, no doubt will say, "She's taking too many pills. I must
operate and get her off the pills." And then, "Here, I'll write you a script
for a great Placebo."
In that case, the Pain Doctor will back off and I'll really be in trouble.
I don't know what to do ... I don't know what to do ... Maybe I'll read this
in the morning and the light of dawn will show me the answer.

I've taken quite a combination of Methadone, Xanax, and Xanaflex. I know
this isn't a good combination but still I had to do something!

I wonder ... Wine?

Pam you are a smart lady be very careful with your Xanax and Methadone. You really in a hard spot and I think you probably spelled it out perfect the scenario of what can possibly happen. Only you can decide which direction to take here. So, have you previously had neck surgery recommended to you by a surgeon? Oh, if only I had that magic wand. Hugs Susie

Pamela,
NO WINE! Or any kind of alcohol! That's a dangerous combination you're talking about and how accidental overdoses happen.

Please, be careful. Try to rest, or watch some mindless tv. Anything. But no alcohol or meds. that are beyond what's prescribed, ok?!

Pamela, I can certainly understand your concern over the possible scenarios that you've written out. I am concerned though that you may not be as psychic as you think. Sure, you can guess at what the Docs may say, but you won't know for sure until you get there. You are obviousl in a lot of pain, so please, call the Pain Doc and get in to see him A.S.A.P.! Hopefully he will at least give you some relief.
