Kara,
Could you call and ask to be put on something else until you see him on the 8th? Since you've just seen him, you could report the new meds. aren't helping. Just a thought.

I am on Restoril. I'm a hard core insomniac- I can go up to 4 days without sleep. This works well with my meds, dosen't make me feel weird when falling asleep or when I wake up. Ambien & Rozerm didn't do anything but give me a headache. Ask for samples!! Or try a 2 week trial of something. I am also on a few anti-depressants that are used for pain/fibromyalgia & also help with insonia. So I have about 3 meds that I take at bedtime that are for sleep issues. Good luck! I know how aggrevating insomnia can be, especially with chronic pain. Let us know how it goes!
RX's: Oxycontin 80 MG 2x's daily; Dilaudid 8 MG 4xs daily; Zanaflex 4mg 3x's daily; Restoril 15mg 1x; Soma 3x's daily; Lyrica 100 MG 3x's daily (pain & fibro.); Phenergan 25 MG (as needed); Amitriptyline 25 MG 1x (chronic pain); Cymbalta 60mg 2x's daily (pain from fibro); Metoclopram (as needed) & Senokot (as needed).

Kara I'm on Lunesta and Topamax and the combo seems to help me but...unfortunately I wake up in the middle of the night in tremendous pain around 2-4 am and cannot go back to sleep. Hubby's famous saying is "Why not just stay in bed close your eyes and eventually you will fall back to sleep." but he just doesn't understand if I don't get up I will keep him up with my continuous crying.

Kara; Hubby bought me a massaging heat pad for Christmas that I can lay on the bed or put in a chair. I absolutely love it and the heat I use often. Don't like the massage that much on it cause it feels like its beating my back up but the heat really feels good all over my back. For the last two weeks I've had a new symptom that I need to consult with my new doc about, it seems that my heels are now getting the pins and needles effect in them and I know it has to do with my back.
