Hi,
I usually hang out at the Crohn's Board. But I do read a few of the other boards. This being one of them.
I had 2 Epidural Steroid Injections.. Didnt help at all. Then had Lumbar Facet Injection. It helped for a month. Had another one today. If it helps , also, then the dr. is going to burn the nerve. Radiofrequency Ablation. Have any of you had this procedure. What are the pros and cons you experienced? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Pompom, yes I had RF and it did help with the pain in my back, lasted about 4 months. No, it did not take all the pain away just decreased it somewhat. Now, as for my neck, totally great, got rid of the softballs that was under my shoulder blades for the first time in 6 years. I have had just about every kind of care coming down the pike and never got relief that lasted for more than a day or two with my neck. .No one had ever been able to get the muscle spasms down in my neck but the RF took care of them. I was given light sedation and had to have a driver that day. It was an ok procedure and I did finet on them except when he hit a certain spot on my back and I nearly came off the table, felt every bit of it, other than that no problems having it done. I was sore and hurt more for the first few days, then things started simmering down. Susie

Thank you, Susie. Did the dr. give a numbing injection first, or can they do it with a numbing injection. I have the numbing injections for the procedures I have had.
Thanks, Julie
