Alright, ladies I am definitely NOT getting any zzzz's here, so hopefully I'm balancing you out and that means you are all sleeping peacefully and dreaming warm, pain-free (and rodent free!) dreams....

shakehead
I'm waiting another half hour to take another dose of meds and trying again to hit the sack. I know it probably is related to shoveling snow, which I do in small doses. Gosh, it was so deep tonight I barely made a narrow path to the trunk of my car to get more ice melt for the deck. shocked

Ok, you southerners, I'm packing up soon and headin' south!! cool

Did someone say South? Amen, sister! Only problem is.... We'd have to shovel the WHOLE driveway if we want to get the cars out for the drive! shocked

Alright.....I guess that was a power trip for me or maybe it was just an illusion? Cause I got 4 hours once again then *boink* eyes fly open.....and wa la I am wide awake! God its a futile fight leaving me tired.......ticked off.....and rummaging through channels muttering "Nothin on...Nothin on..." Reread my post from earlier when I first started this thread, MAN were the medications leaning hard on me to close my eyes and sllllleeeeeeeeeepppppppp baby sleeeeeeeeppppppp. Wish I could get that feeling back.

I wanna jump into a really hot cherry red 1954 Corvette convertable. Driving down the interstate with miles and miles of ribbon highway in front of me; no course set for my path.....just drive. Top down....Beach Boys blasting their tunes through the stereo. My shades are on...my hair is blowing in the breeze I can feel the warm sun on my face as I put the car in gear and pull out onto the highway. Cruise on down driving 55 MPH with no particular place to go...... now this is what I call life. Ohhhhhh and no pain so I won't have to worry about getting comfortable in the seats of my car.

Ahhhhhhhhhh.......anyone wanna ride shotgun?

Hugssss

OH hey,
I lived 30 miles from Santa Cruz Beach & Board walk where the Beach Boys hung
out.
The area around Santa Cruz is wonderful. I didn't appreciae it when I had it.
Walk down the boardwalk and one the twirling rides played.
Ba Ba Ba Bah Bah Bra Ann over and over. It's ringing in my head right now.
The Beach Boys played some beautiful music. Kids today just wouldn't understand.
Pamela

I wish we all could be California Girls.

Yecht, I can't sleep. I wait for the morning sun. Then I can sleep. It's like I've
left the human race. scool

I know Pam.....I swear its like we've become vamps or something!!! The sun comes up and Booom! I can't keep my eyes open at all. What is up with that?

*Sings* Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up in the morning when the day is new and after having spent the day together hold each other close the whole night through.

Ohhhhh such happppier times when Beach Boys wrote many of their songs. Kokomo, surfin' safari, Surfin' USA, Little Deuce Coupe, All Summer Long, 409, Barbara Ann and all those other great hits.

I'LL RIDE SHOTGUN!!! With just one request - can we stop off at Tampa on Sunday to watch the Steelers win? (sorry to any Arizona folk!)

I've been on that Santa Cruz boardwalk. Love it. And driving south down highway 1 in that corvette would be way cool, scarred! Sometimes takes your breath away being so close to the edge of the cliffs, but the beauty - wow!

Whale watching at Big Sur.

I think we need more than one corvette. :-)

Oh heck ya PA! I got the tickets and hubby is bringing the tailgate party extras so get ready we are about to embark on our first HW Superbowl Tailgate Partaaay!!!!!! Bring the clams from the west coast.....the lobsters from the east coast.....cheese from Wisconsin.......Corn from Iowa......I'll bring the beef from the finest cows in Kansas and it will be one heck of a party. I'll be the one in the full dress Steeler attire Ready for Big Ben to throw out that first pass which will be a touchdown that his biggest receiver will run 61 yards into the end zone to score!!!!!! After the Steelers slaughter the Cardinals 45-10 we will jump into the vette and head over to the finest restaurant and eat the biggest steaks money can by. There will be champagne....dancing and a wild party afterwards because we will all be invited back to Ben's for a post superbowl Party where Ben and the entire Steelers team will let us touch the Lombardi trophy and we will all get teeshirts and hats that we can proudly wear with the champs on the front.

Now......I'm getting pretty well conked out. The screen is doubled and I can't see it very good so I think its time for bed time.

Nigjty night. I'll post again in a few hours.

Ok, I'll bring some "legal beverages". Not sure how specific we can get on here. Of course there will be non-alcoholic beverages for anyone, but since it's virtual even if we're taking meds we can have a virtual Rolling Rock!

I know there are some Arizona folk here and lots of others who don't give a hoot about football, but since I was born in the 'burg, ya gotta cut me a little slack! smilewinkgrin

Go Steelers! yeah

PaLady
I just wish I was in Tampa where it's WARM! Maybe when I watch the game I'll feel warm? idea

Don't forget me!!! Scarred, you'll have to leave the snow tires and the roof on to pick me up too. Hey, PaLady - you beat me to shotgun! I've decided to forgive you since you're providing refreshments, though. Do you mind if I put my feet up on the seat? devil

We'd better go at warp speed to get to the warm weather. I have had it with snow and cold!! mad Have I said that before??? yeah

We are literally running out of places to PUT the piles of snow, so if anyone wants some I'm selling mine - cheap! You just have to pay for shipping and "handling"! smhair

Oh, PaLady, you will just love this. I went to the grocery store the other day and there were two employees out in front of the store. One of them had a snow shovel and the other... a garbage bag! Seriously! The shovel guy was diligently putting scoop after scoop of snow INTO A PLASTIC BAG! When it got full, they drug it over to the edge of the walk, opened up a fresh bag, and started again! rolleyes I wonder... when it melts, are they planning a really big water balloon fight? turn
