I've been reading some material that absolutely blasts doctors who prescribe
Opiods. Terrible stuff. If I was a a pain doctor I really really wouldn't want to
read it.

Reading it made me so sad. The people who believe that Opiods are evil killers
have no idea what intractibe chronic pain is like.

Most of us have drastically changed our lives and our activities because of the pain.

What do the naysayers think people with pain should do? They have no f ing
idea what it is.

Arghhh .... I think I'll write something about just what has changed in my life
in the past seven years because of this pain.

I can't do it now. Why? Because my pain level is too high. Probably 8 1/2. It's
been like that for days. I could almost give it a higher number because it's
never ending. Those people. Where is their understanding????

when my dad passed away from melanoma cancer, the previous months he wouldnt have made it through without his meds.
he took more than 25 different pills a day for 6 months, let alone the cancer killing him paralyzing him in the process...if he didnt have the oxy and morphene he woulda died from body pain alone.
i took care of him, i lifted my dad onto his bed/wheelchair, i made or went out and got him dinner/lunch, made sure he was warm and clean. the drugs made the last few months bareable, our family did everything we could to make him comfortable. my dad couldnt lay down he hurt so bad and when you strap your dad in a wheelchair with regular pant belts with pillows; it changes you.
i can comprehend alot of these things i read, i was basically a home health aid.

I don't really care that they write that stuff, mom. I just don't want them spreading
their foul language around and we lose the private little war each one of us is
fighting. We've already lost enough.

Mom... psssssssss. I do worry too much. : ) It's an ADD thang.
