Oh Kara,
That's awful! I'm so sorry for all you're going through. I do wish you a speedy recovery.
Is there any chance you can just go to an Infusion Clinic to get the saline, B12 & other meds/vitamins you may need? I know that was a god-send when somebody finally told me about that. I didn't have to keep going to the doc every other day for a new script & I could rest for as long as I needed and go home at the end of the day. Honestly, as much as it sucks having to be at the hospital at all, especially with IV's and such, the Infusion Unit was a pretty cushy deal when compared to in-patient. The nurses were super attentive. They would bring broth & juice to any patients that were allowed to have them. My family was allowed to bring me real food as long as they gave the sodium level to the nurses (my sodium was super low, so I was basically allowed anything - even eating pure salt until my blood work showed it start to normalize). There were TV's in each area & they would let a whole big bunch of friends & family come in to spend time and take care of me. I was in & out every day or two for a couple weeks each time, but it was a lot better for me to be able to sleep in my own bed at night.

idk. I just wish there was something I could say to make things a little easier on you.

feel better,

Oh kara, I am so sorry hun. This flu is so horrible. I've been trying to come down with it for days now and I think if I don't take care of myself soon I am going to go down hard. Gentle hugssss and lots of comfort foods.

My poor little Sister, I was wondering where you were. So sorry to hear the flu grabbed on to you so bad. I get a flue shot every year because last time I had it about 10 years ago, I also ended up in the hospital. With the flu shot, I think I may have had it once or twice over the years but it has never been as bad as that one time. Do you get flu shots? If you don't, you should from now on! I'm glad to hear from you again. Hang in there, you must have it pretty much wupped by now.
