WEll, this is definitley off the subject of pain but I have to tell it anyway...

I live in Mt. Juliet, Tn...east of Nashville....We have had some horrific winds all night and day, I'm talking upwards of 60 mph. gusts!!!  Well, Oklahoma had tornadoes in the past couple of days.  We are directly east of them by 700+ miles.

I went in my backyard this afternoon to look at the damage to my neighbors fence and something caught my eye on the ground.  It was a temporary grave marker with the metal post next to it from Stillwater, OK.  We called the funeral home and they called the family.  We didn't want to just throw it away, they may have wanted it..

The funeral director called back with the following info.:

The mother didn't want it back because she was going to get a perm. headstone in the near future...and the last time they went to the cemetery the marker was there...  This is a 5 month old baby that died in October 2007.

The funeral director then said that it came here by way of the storms...They had tornadoes and that is the only way it could have gotten here...

What do you all think about that?

Me.

We are all in the same boat...unfortunatley it seems like it's sinking...

Me,

My sister lives in OKC in a little burb called the "Village". Edmond is just a couple of miles from her and a twister hit there and was on the ground, really did some destruction. People were trapped in their vehicles because of downed power lines. Just awful. But, she was safe thru it, thank goodness. Alot of homes tore up, 2 story homes now a one story.

We got hit with high wind here and I got scared. It sounded like my wndows were going to blow out. I don't normally get scared in the storms but this one really got my attention. We had some blowing rain  along with the wind. They were predicting a 2nd storm last nite for OKC.

I hope all of our Healing Well buddies are safe.......Susie

Straydog,
I hope they are all safe...We had 60 mph wind gusts throughout the day yesterday and I thought we were having a tornado several times...I was scared too.

Of course we didn't have ANYTHING like OK did...The last tornado Nashville had that hit directly downtown was in 1999 I think...We have had some since then, but they hit the surrounding areas...

Tornadoes are awful!!!

I hope your sis is doing okay...
