"Pain, Pain go Away come again another day!"

This is part of a song that I sing as I am waiting for my meds to kick in.  The lyrics tend to change daily depending on what type of obstacles I face that day such as Showering, or driving, or THINKING!

Anybody else got any?

I have more but for some reason when I decided to start this post my Memory Loss/Fibro Fog kicked in.
Think brain, THINK!

Sherry,
I sing the same one as you.

I have a whole repertoire, but here's another for your collection.

Oh, I wish I were a pain-free person. That is what I really want to be. Cause if I were a pain-free person, just imagine how very happy I would be.

(I change the ending a lot. sometimes I use -- "I wouldn't have to hobble any more." or "I'd be able to get myself up off the floor.") lol :)

happy singing,
frances

I am not that witty either. My family just gets used to me saying Merry Christmas as I deal with the pain. This is funny to them as they call me a scrooge  during the holidays. I might have to learn some songs from the rest of you. How about Hi Ho, Hi Ho, its off to bed I go, to deal with pain to deal with, Hi Ho, Hi ho, Hi Ho, Hi Ho. Ok I'll quit.

Frances and Father John,
those were both really good!

another one of mine is " Where or where has my pain relief gone, or where or where can it be, It started to ease up and thought relief was for me, and then it just up and left me"

and, "Oh I wish I were a normal person, no pain and tears and limping left for me, Oh I wish I were a pain free person, cause the life I knew is passing right by me"

Also, "When I was so young, I was electrified, dont know how I got these pains in front and back and down both my sides, dont know how many nights I cried, Just please leave me all alone, cause I was hurt and couldnt imagine going on. So now I'm back with breakthru meds, determined I am going to live my life with the help of Narcotic meds.,,,, ( mom loves that one)

It's pretty bad when your best friend is named Xanax! LOL

Hope you enjoyed them.

come on folks, I know you have got some to add!!!

When I need to relax enough and forget the pain I pop in Evenescence into the cd/dvd player in the living room.....crank it up to as high as I can stand it and lay on the couch with my favorite book. Of course right now my fav is been set aside for books about medieval times. Its research for my book that I am now starting to be able to write again on. But....there is a few songs that pop into my head through the day......"I wanna new drug" by Huey Lewis and the News or "Pain" by Elton John.

Made up a few too..."Pain, Pain go away never come back here again (little ditty that goes to the lyrics of "rain rain").......or "Doctor, Doctor give me the news...I've got a bad case of the Chronic Pain Blues" (added my own little lyrics to this one). Just a couple to tickle your funny bone.

Hugs

Good to see you back. Hope the pain is better. Although if you are up at this time, it can't be all good. Huey Lewis brings back memories. He was my neighbor back in Montana. He spent much of his time in California but maintained a nice place.
This was during the time I was a Deputy and I would watch his place for him as many people trespassed onto his property to hunt and fish. He liked the idea that from my place I could watch for the trespassers and then I would approach them and escort them out. in return, I hunted ducks and geese whenever I wanted. Hank Williams Jr had a place about a mile away but he was not as nice. Blessings!

Hi Fatherjohn! Its good to be back. Nope pain is still raging but I have managed to bring it down to a 8. Been up since midnight...seems anymore if I get 3-4 hours of sleep that's all my mind (don't know about the rest of me) requires. If I get any more then that its like I am just totally tired and in need of sleep the rest of the day. Oh a duck and goose hunter!!! Do you still hunt? I have found that here in KS there are gobs of geese just north of us and its all public!!!! I cannot wait until this fall when I can go out again and finally get a goose. Hopefully semi-pain free that would be really good.

Anyway....hugs.

I have done very little hunting since I was injured. It is normally cold while hunting and I can't take that anymore. To much time in the cold and I feel like I want the ducks to shoot me. I am glad that your pain level is down but will keep praying that it comes down even more.

LOL Like that one PA? I go around singing that one all the time. Made my own lyrics to it and every time I sing it hubby laughs.

Fatherjohn; I am an avid bird hunter though since my injury it has been short days and much pain. I especially love pheasant hunting but with my back in so much pain and not being able to walk for extended periods of time, I'm usually blocking, standing close to the truck and have my own little chair that I bring out to sit on. I really do miss the flushing part of it and being able to sneak up on them.

Hugs to all
