Ok everyone, since the Time to fly II thread has hit its second page I figured it was time to start a new thread so that we can continue to have a little laughter relief as well as some time to keep our minds preoccupied with something other then our pain. :-)

Anyway....someone said that they wanted to go to Iceland or somewhere really cold...and even though I think it would be neat.....I think I will sit that one out as I'm not real keen on cold weather LOL. So how about we send this tour to......somewhere a little warmer.....

We are headed for the Bahamas!!!!!!!!!

Get your sunscreen.....grab your flip flops and lets head for the sands of the tropical islands! I'm sitting on the warm beaches waiting for each of you to come join me!

Hugs

Whew! I was worried we were going to end up in more cold, and my body can't take that!! shakehead

So, I'm starting my packing for the Bahamas. I've never been there, but can I have a hut...um, maybe another cabana?? smilewinkgrin

And I'm thinking about another magic carpet to take for nighttime rides over the water, but I've gotta think about what I want that one to look like! idea

Make room....I'll be on my way soon! yeah

It was Siberia! smilewinkgrin And I was just kidding! I MUCH rather go somewhere warm! I've had enough cold this winter to last me a good long while!

Oh, we definitely need to visit the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island! They have some really neat aquariums (including this GIANT tank that surrounds much of the hotel). You can literally walk (and get lost) for hours exploring all the various nooks & crannies, and seeing all the different sea life exhibits. They even have several ponds of hammerhead sharks, bull sharks, crocodiles, etc, with NO fences or glass walls whatsoever, and there weren't even any guards or employees standing watch! There are just these ponds right off the side of a path, or under a bridge holding all these MAN-EATING creatures. The only warning is a teeny tiny sign that says what species are in the water & something along the lines of "danger, maneating creatures within these waters, do not swim"). The hotel's insurance must be ridicuously high! It is potentially so easy for an unsuspecting tourist (especially a child) to wade into one of those little pools. I guess the must keep those animals so well feed that they are never even remotely hungry! But it really is amazing place. Plus they have a bunch of fun water slides!

Skeye <----- In search of some non shark-infested waters. Easier said than done in the Bahamas! Especially when even the man made pools have sharks in them! smhair

oooooooo, a massage on a warm, sunny beach. Heaven. I can visit at least in some of my dreams (yet lately they been mostly nightmares...)
The sound of the surf and wave upon wave crashes on white sand.
Warm sand beneath and between my toes. The feel of the warm sun and gentle breeze gently caressing my skin
The smells...the crisp, tangy smell of ocean water.
BTW, I will never live in a cold climate again. Me no likey. Heck I get cold and achy here(AZ)cool ...but today, weather in the mid 80's, slight breeze, sunshine...small piece of heaven. scool

Cold climate....me no likey either! shakehead Do you have an extra room in AZ?? wink

Ah....all the sounds of the ocean, the smell of the sea salt....a soothing massage...and the sound of the timer going off on my new dryer!!! tongue

Seroiusly, folks, my scratch and dent baby got delivered this morning. I haven't heard the sound of a time in years (it cost too much to fix it), and the heat unit went a few weeks ago.

Warm, dry towels again! Ahhhh.......we'll need them for the beach! smilewinkgrin

Oh, yes, yes, Palady, save me a massage! And a drink! I love those little umbrellas! And a seafood feast too! Oh boy, you've out done yourself!

So glad your new dryer is in (and working)! Here's to nice toasty warm towels!

Can we head off to a comedy show tonight? I'm in SERIOUS need of some cheering up. My neighbors' second horse, who I was also very close to (although not nearly as close as I was to "my" horse) just passed away suddenly, and for me, entirely unexpectedly this afternoon. I never got to say goodbye. In fact I hadn't seen her in a few weeks, and was actually planning on visiting today... So I'm pretty blue. cry

I always dreamed of swimming with dolphins, it's supposed to be therapeutic (sp?) and
I've heard about it on TV and well, just though it'd be fun, Me swimming with a dolphin
with the water all peaceful around me, with no signs of sharks or croc's or alligator's...
Once again, I'll bring some champaign with a cheesecake and maybe some chocolate..
Dig in folks....

The Bahamas, yes I want to go to the Bahams. Beaches, sun, drinks with umbrellas, sun, good food, sun, Steve Martin, sun, catwoman running around on the beach, sun, beach front beds and did I mention the sun. By the way, there are over 700 islands that are part of the Bahamas. We could be here a long time. In the 1600 hundreds and early 1700 hundreds, the Bahams were inhabited by pirates. They specialized in looting Spanish galleons and stealing their cargo of gold. Pirates were known for burying thier treasures. Anyone game on doing a little treasure hunting?

They eat a lot of sea food in the Bhamas as wll. Their breakfast specialty is boiled grouper and grits. I hope they fix it with some bacon. Well, friends its good to be back.

Love that breakfast, fatherjohn! turn

Oh - I found a white catwoman suit in the back of the closet at the Bahamas! A little cooler than the black leather, which works well in Gotham City! eyes

Steve Martin went back and told people how great we were and Robin Williams and the entire cast of SNL are coming to do a show for us!!! Rest up your funny bones!!

They do, however, expect elegant beach accomodations and plenty of good eats! yeah
