Chart & PA> You make my heart soar like an Eagle! Y'all know I'm the sensitive type don't ya? I'll toast some diet green tea to two of my fav's here on Healing Well who never seem to forget anyone! Yuze Gize are da best! Thank You, really! Just got back from the Doc's, borth my surgeon & pain. I am released for work on Monday! Light duty of course which dosn't mean skwat in construction but I'll whine like a baby if they try to make me do anything that is unreasonable! I called my boss to tell him the good news and all he said is that he will no longer let me buy anything from my best friend's company! It doesn't matter that they have the best service in the industry either. He is cutting them off because they cut him off for nonpayment! He dosen't pay his bills on time so then he gets mad at them for not selling to him???? Go figure, that's my boss, he's quite a guy! Back to the Doc, he told me that I shouldn't be having pain in my neck, I do which worries me a little even though all the shoulder, chest and arm pain is gone. I just can't imagine my neck not hurting after what it's been through??? Hmmmmm? I think the pain will gradually go away. He also said I should be able to swallow food soon too. Eating now is kind of like a controled choke. I push the food thats stuck in my throat through w/ more food untill it gets too be completely stuck, then I try to wash it down w/ something to drink. It took a lot of hunger, practice and choking to learn how to do it but desperate times call for desperate messures, right? Espessially when your a food addict like me! I'll get "er done or down" one way or another! My pain doc was glad to hear what my surgeon told me too. He gave me another script for percocet because he said there are no oxycodone #15's anywhere locally and I beleived him, dagnabitt! All for now, I have to cook myself something healthy> escarole, chicken and beans, just like Angie my Itallian Gram used to make me when I was a little Pete or Piero> Itallian penicilin!
Love you people and thanks again for such a nice post!!!

Theres no way I'll fire up with him here!He just left to go out w/ a different girl than he was out w/ last night! It's the third one since we got back Monday! Chip off the old blockhead that boy! He's having a ball on this leave, I'm so happy for him as he will go on deployement in May to the Middle East and not get back untill December!

Its good for him to date lots of girls..lol For girls they get a bad wrap though. My point is you don't want to settle for just and daughter in law. Its got to be the right one so he needs to keep looking until he finds the perfect one to add to your family puzzle

Pete:

I am so happy to hear that you are still "smoke free". I have a dear friend who hadn't smoked for many years, and unfortunately gave in because of his CP, and I worry about him so bad. His grandson keeps telling him "No snoking Poppy, I don't want you to die" (the n in snoking is intentional). Out of the mouths of babes! Keep up the good work!

Ok, Pete,
I know it can get hard at any time - even for years. After all these years of me not smoking, even I get an occasional craving. So it's good you know that, and respect the power of that addictive drug.

But also remember the fusion takes up to a year to complete and smoking will interfere with that. So when your son leaves, you'll need other motivation. Remember my pocketfull of cinammon candies!

Thank you all so much for the support! Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky stumbling onto Y'all good folks? It has to be Karma or something like it! I just got back from the Dr's office. I finally had my blood work done for my long overdue yearly physical! All the tests and blood work for my hernia & neck surgeries and I'm still having tests. I started this physical over 2 months ago and I was late for it then! It's all part of my master plan to get myself fixed up this year! I don't know if anyone remembers a while back when I had a mental break down w/ all the nonstop uncontrolable crying and crazy thoughts about my wife cheating on me? I said then that I was going to get my screwed up hormones finally taken care of. That was prior to the unexpected surgeries but as I promissed back then we're gonna "Git Er Done!" I don't know why I use that expression, I'm not a redneck, not even close! Anyway, with my testosterone under control w/ monthly shots> I think? It's time to see if my thyroid meds which I haven't changed in over 10 years since my thyroidectomy are working! If it's OK, I doub't it and my sugar is OK also> I'm a diabetic posterboy! (Mom has it and I'm way overweight!) Then we can maybe change my antidepression meds (150mgs Effecsor x day) which are not working for me anymore. When I get back into my routine of working and living alone I know that the blues are right around the corner! I need to as Barny Fife used to say "Nip it in the Bud Ang!"
Sorry for ramling on> My son Pete finally got up! It's after 11:00am and he wants me to take him out for breakfast. I told him I'd go but would not eat the hungry guy special that we had last time because of the bad news at the Doc's this A.M. was I gained back 4lbs, not good as I lost over 20lbs since my surgery. But the place has good coffee so thats what I'll have. I'll check back in later Team C.P.
Thanks again for being out there!!!

All I ever caught was catfish. a 19 incher...my brother caught a rainbow trout, but it was too
small..
Hope the bloodwork comes back good...

Chart,
As a matter of fact I have caught lemon sharks and bulls too but neither of them jump out of the water like the blacktip sharks do. Thats why they are my favorite sharks to catch on rod & reel. I've even caught them on a flyrod> such a blast and they are by far the best tasting sharks around here! I've also caught hammer & shovel heads, tigers, nurse and sharpnose sharks but I refuse to bring anything bigger than 3' or 4' into my 19' boat! They don't die very easy, their teeth are VERY sharp and I usually let them go anyway. Fishing w/ my son last Sunday, it was so bad as far as the fish biting, we didn't catch any fish that we could use for shark bait! I was going to try to put my son onto a large shark just to let him fight it and get some pictures but no luck. Nothing was biting except sal***er catfish. Pete caught one about 4lbs which was the biggest fish of the day! Sorry, if you haven't guessed, I could talk about fishing all day! Congrads on your 19" catfish, thats pretty big, did you eat it?
Thanks for the replies as always!
