Today is one of those days where I feel this way. I didn't sleep well last night...it seemed that I cat napped all night instead of getting a full nights rest. I hate feeling like I am just smacking into a wall lately. Can't seem to get enough rest which makes my pain level higher and just makes me all around cranky. I totally hate this! Anyone else feeling this way??

Hugs....sorry I haven't been on.

Me too Scared! I know exactly how you feel I've been walking into walls ever since I came back to work on Monday! I can't sleep> I can't get comfortable> I wake every hour to pee or I wet the bed from prostate cancer surgery problems > I can't get back to sleep> Like you, it makes my pain worse> I've had less than 9 hours sleep total in the last 3 nights put together> I'm so cranky and I hate it and I'm a terrible whiner!!! Sorry everybody! I could lean back in my seat at my desk with my neck brace on holding my head up, put my sunglasses on and go to sleep right here> right now! But someone would come in wake me and give me a heart attack!! So I'm skipping lunch and drinking more coffee, eating lunch would be like taking a sleeping pill! I have an appointment for my yearly physical this afternoon I've been trying to get it done since last November, I'll talk to my Doc about it. It may be Ambin & diapers at night for me, anything is better than this!
Sorry that you feel like I do Scarred> It sucks!
Big Sleepy Hugz to you!

Eh Pete, its alright I know that it comes with the territory. But that doesn't mean I have to like it right? ha ha ha Anyway....I'm starving and the wind is blowing hard here. Just seems like the more I try to control my pain the worse it gets lately. I see my doc next Thur so maybe she will have some good news (even though I am holding my breath waiting for the verdict about the SCS). But I digress....I am sorry that you too have to deal with this Pete and I truly hope that your doc appt goes well today.

Hugsssssssssss

I know the feeling.. I was like that before someone listened to me and I had surgery.  Its not quite at bad now.  I still have cap-nap nites, and those really really suck or I sleep til 3 or so and wake up and cant go back to sleep.  Thats when I really get mad.  I wish you good sleep tonite and then on.... Wish I had some sleepy dust to sprinkle over ya.

Sadly, most of the time.

I've been waking up about a half an hour before my alarm is due to go off. I need to just give up and start getting up the first time that I wake up. Once I fall back asleep for that 30 mins or so, I wake up feeling even worse.

Scarred!!

It's so good to see you post! I was getting a bit worried, but I thought I remembered you were having some company? Anyway, I'm walking into walls some nights but I think it's sometimes a combo of my meds and having my sleep so topsy turvy. Nights and days reversed most of the week. I've got to get myself back on a schedule, but it's so hard when you're not working and have no one else in the house so it's very quiet. Plus I've always been a night person.

Looks like it may be back to some late night threads soon. I've got an idea for another fun one, but needed to get a bit of energy to get it started. I blew a tire yesterday and so now I've got to find two new ones, and they ain't cheap!

Anyway, I digress. i hope you can find some sleep, Scarred, but it's good to see you post again. yeah

And Pete....not eating, not sleeping but still working? nono Ahem!!

Hugs to all of you!

Hey good to see you post Scarred, but sorry about the sleeping thing. Girl, I have slept in this darn chair cat napping all night for nearly a year. Its catching up with me too. I am tired and run out of gas early in the day, cranky, I invented it lol. I have got to get back to awake all day and sleep at night in a bed. I have had more muscles relaxers and a few more pain pills taken than normal for me. I swore off orals after this pump, except for muscle relaxers. But, have been hitting the Dilaudid a couple of times this past week and thats not good for me-I want my pump to take care of business lol. Maybe we need to do a sleep dance or something.lol Susie

Boy do I know what you mean! Along with my sleep apnea, I have what they call spontaneous arousals (where my brain just wakes me up for no apparent reason) (don't even go there, that is a legitimate sleep apnea term!) any way that happens over and over again all night long! And part of my trouble is I have been getting my sleep schedule all out of whack! I know what your talking about PALady! I am awake till 2 or 3 in the morning and then sleep to 9 or 10, and dead tired between 5 and 7 at night and then wide awake again till 2 or 3 AM Even when I do sleep it is such a hassle putting on my mask and turning on my machines,(VPAP ASV and Oxygen Concentrator) and then having a seemingly thousand mile and hour wind blowing in my mouth and nose all night long! I am use to it now and I do use my mask and machine every night, but I still hate donning it, and going through the hassle just to go to sleep!
Will you teach me that "sleep Dance " straydog?

Oh, yes, I know that feeling all too well! I've been getting 1 - 3 hrs of sleep a night every night for the past ~5 days. I think I've slept a total of ~6 hrs in the past 3 nights. I usually get 3 - 5 hrs a night, which is horrible enough. I've come to dread going to bed because I always just end up lying there for hours, in pain, and then once I do finally fall alseep, I just toss & turn and wake up because of the pain. I always feel like a walking zombie. I have such a hard time focusing on anything, because I am always just so tired!
Unfortunately sleep medications don't do much for me. At one point my doc had my on ambien & ambien CR taken together every night. I would take it at 10 pm and still be wide awake at 5 am, just feeling a little more tired. I'm thinking of ditching my work & trying to go to bed early tonight. I really need the sleep! I got about a hour/ hour and a half last night. I finally feel asleep right before I had to get up. I kept hitting snooze on my alarm & stayed in bed 40 min late. It's a miracle I made it into the hospital on time!

Nice to see you back, Scarred! I hope your company weren't too taxing!

I feel the same today. It is so long since I got a full nights sleep that I can't remember when it was normal not to get up each night and watch crappy re runs of the Rockford files or Perry Mason!!!. Lately getting in to The Champions League for soccer in Europe. My husband tells me that even my eye lids are black now not just the black circles under my eyes. Read alot too, I've taken to having the occassional power nap, especially if I've been working, even 30 minutes can restore my energy levels to cook dinner! I teach part time at University and if I'm being asked different questions at once I can almost feel the brain strain trying to sort out and order my responses. People tell me I'm really patient I don't dare admit that I am either just so tired or in so much pain that I have to slow down just to actually respond. (That's our little secret!)

Having company around was pretty normal...as far as routine goes. Hubby spent his time showing them the sights and taking them hunting so I just stayed home and did my thing LOL. I wanna thank you all for posting to my thread. I think that just maybe I will be getting some sleep tonight cause I took my Lunesta 28 minutes ago and I'm getting the bad taste which I know that it is kicking in. But it takes my big meds to really get it on a roll.

Anyway.....hugssssssss to all my friends.

Scarred

P.S. PA in case your not keeping up with Moonlight.....SciFi ran a 4 episode mantra tonight! It seems that they did episode one thru 5 tonight. It's still on until 10cst and then tomorrow there are two episodes starting at 8pmcst.

Hugs

I hate the 3 am call I get every morning. I usually go to bed around 8 pm for I know around 3 am I will be up. My alarm doesn't go off until 4:30 am, so this sucks. If I have to pee the pain is so intense that I have to take a pain pill. The is a daily occurance for me.

I think we need sleepy dust!!! If anyone finds it please share !!!!

Scarred,
I caught the last episode at 10pm last night. I had seen it before, thankfully, although I don't think I had seen the first episode. Oh, well. My tv schedule only has one episode listed for tonight, but you can bet I'm going to check in at 8pm! I think I saw one more episode - the one about his X-wife. Don't know how many more there are.

I think True Blood is coming out on DVD soon (LL are you the one who works with that?). I'm going to get it because I didn't see all those episodes either. A second season starts on HBO in June, but I probably will have to wait for the DVD on that, too, unless I can get someone to tape it for me!

Sleep dust....either that or we all become vampires?? :-)

PAlady yes it was me.  I know we are still manufacturing them.  I should walk across the warehouse on sunday and look at the street date for you.  So yes season 1 is coming out.  Its got cool cover art on the front.  The first shipment of components we got it had a print error the blood droplet showed white instead of red.  They went ahead and processed the 100,000 of them and then the new art came in corrected..lol

Now you two have got me so curious about true bood.  I love vampire books its 90% of what I read.  I guess I will have to break down and buy the season.

The missing art is on the acually disc there is a line that is white that should be red.  I would have to look closer at it when I get to work on sunday.  So yes that would be collector item for True Blood fanatics if there are any out there..lol
